Enjoy Mixed Arare Rice Crackers, 14 Ounce by Enjoy

I wish the price wasn't so high.

Searched long and hard to find the Asian style crackers that I enjoyed so much while I was living in Japan. These are the authentic and best tasting of any I have tried. Very highly recommend.

This is my second attempt at trying to find the best Japanese rice crackers with a soy taste and pleasant orange brown color. These crackers made in Thailand list soy sauce and fish sauce in the ingredients and I think that’s why the taste is not as pleasing. The crackers are also sort of a dirty brown color so not very appetizing looking. They are fresh but not really to my liking. I think I’m going to keep looking.

Good deep flavor typical of Hawaiian arare.

I love the Enjoy Arare. Live on the mainland now and it is a favorite snack from Hawaii. It's also the good dark kind with a lot of flavor. Not that weak light kind you find in the stores here.

Notice the "off-color" of these crackers compared to the stock photo used to advertise the product. They are not the pleasant "soy sauce brown" nor do they have that savory flavor - I was truly put off when I received these, grey-green, bland crackers and would have turned right around and sent them back for a refund - but this company does not accept returns! Definitely not worth the $14 overpriced tag. The expiration date on the front of the pkg indicates Aug 16/2022, so the problem was NOT staleness, etc. Add to this the fact the pkg was sent in a simple bubble envelop w/o benefit of a box and about 40% of them were broken/crushed. A total waste of time and money. DON'T ORDER THESE.

I've been eating rice crackers for over 40 years and have had many different brands over the years. I really did not care for the taste of these - bitter.

It's unfortunate that I can't grab these in Atlanta, but luckily this company offers it. It's the same product from back home and makes a great hurricane popcorn.
