Yummy recipes, love my work lunches
There are Leon shops where I work but found the food too pricey so it was a relief when I found out they have cookbooks. I couldn't wait to replicate the mouthwatering foods I had seen when I went with a colleague at lunchtime - I purchased my food else where as I thought the prices were just ridiculous.I have to say I am really impressed with how simple and delicious the recipes were. I am so happy I can take this to work and eat at lunch time, looks like I made a wise decision, and saved myself loads of money.I have since then bought more books in the Leon range.

Good recipes but a bit too much other stuff - for what I wanted
This book is good if you are starting out cooking. Recipes are no nonsense and results (so far)scrummy. In this case, it was a gift for someone who is already quite a good cook so whilst the recipes are very good and the book will be well used, the first half, which is more about ingredients and the Leon philosophy is of less use and is likely to be referred to less frequently. Having said that, we've just bought the second Leon recipe book, which is almost wholly recipes.

Luscious Leon
I had havered about buying this due to the cost, but seeing it temptingly displayed in Leon after Leon prompted me to spend. It's a glorious book, not only in the way it's put together, but its eclectic mix of recipes. I can recommend the Sweet Potato Falafel recipe(don't worry about finding gram flour, if you want to get it, Waitrose stock it in their Indian section) - it was a real hit with my vegetarian friends. The Moroccan Meatballs recipe made enough to stick in the freezer and feed four of us about four times over. It would make a fab Christmas present for younger foodies, and it's so beautiful to look at.

Such a useful book.
Such a treasure trove of information!It's like 2 books in one, the first section is an encyclopedia of ingredients, interesting in itself. I especially like the section on spices.Then the recipe section, again very inspiring (have cooked a few, all have been very successful).I love Allegra's down to earth approach, which makes for easy and inspired cookingA pleasure to read, beautifully laid out.I bought another copy for my niece, a budding chef in the making, and she loves it too.

This book has become my fall back receipe book
This is a great cook book, the handy key at the title of each recipe allows you to quickly determine if a recipe is suitable for certain dietary needs (I have a coelliac girl friend).I have had this book for over a year and have just purchased it for my mother given its success!The meals can be a little fiddly at times but they are always tasty and in most cases healthy.In short cannot recommend this book highly enough (the cafes are also good if you get the chance to visit!).

Leon : Ingredients and recipes
Le contenu de ce livre est très intéressant, et les recettes originales et sympa. Je suis cependant très décue de l'affichage : illisible sur mon kindle, ok sur ma tablette (mais pas très confortable). Suite à un problème de tablette, j'ai voulu utiliser le cloud, et là grosse déception, les textes ne sont pas lisibles, car les caractères sont très flous.

Leon Cookbook: LOVE this book!
WOW! What a FUN cookbook. Love, love, love it! I have hundreds (1,000?) cookbooks, and this is hands-down, the most beautiful, interactive cookbook I have ever read. Think pop-up books for adult cooks- there are pull-out maps, a fun cupboard page that opens up to see 'pantry staples,' cut-out pages, and stickers, and outstanding art design. The food? Fantastic! The book is separated into two sections: one describing all the foods and staples (all super-healthy), and the second has recipes from Leon in London and its staff members. This book is a really fun read...lots of personal stories, vacation photos from when Leon staffers were kids, and interesting, healthy recipes. Bravo to the publisher for a truly unique book. highly recommended!!!

Great images but conversions needed (US readers)
The imagery in this book is absolutely fabulous and it gets you excited to start cooking with all these amazing ingredients. The only thing I wish I remembered before ordering it, is that the book was published in London therefore you need to convert all of the measurements within the recipes. Other than that, amazing book. I love the seasonal chart!

schönes buch
wirklich schönes Buch, gut als Grundlage für Küchenpraxis, eher weniger geeignet für Rezepte, daher auch nur drei Punkte.Es ist aber eine wirkliche Freude, sich das Buch anzusehen, so schön ist es, und so unglaublich schön ist es aufbereitet. Man hat das Gefühl, ein persönliches Kochbuch von Freunden geschenkt bekommen zu haben mit all den Fotos.Leider, leider an den Rezepten hapert's - wenige und die wenigen sind dann auch nicht so umwerfend.

Great Book for Ingredients
The recipes are good but the ingredients listing is what makes this book purchase worthy! Remember it is a British book so there will be some conversions involved. The seasonal chart is also a great addition to the book.
