I'm sold. No more disposable snack bags for me. I use these for EVERYTHING. Toys, tissues, snacks, extra clothes to throw in diaper bag, even used one for dirty diaper holder in a pinch.They're pretty easy to turn inside out to wash and dry nicely on my bottle drying rack. I feel like they're cheap enough that if I have to throw one away once in awhile, it won't make me upset. I have a 3.5 year old and he brings his snack in one daily to preschool. Has no issues opening it, but not the easiest to close. They do hold water/liquid without leaking so far. Excellent value for the price. I will be buying more as needed, but don't think I'll need to anytime soon.

So I have been slowly but surely trying to go more eco friendly for quite a while now.. but it is expensive for the initial cost.. but in the long run you are actually spending less from not having to purchase and repurchase certain items. I did a lot of research on silicone ziplock bags and found these.First, yes, there is a rather potent smell that is kind a of plastic/brand new silicone type of scent. And even when you wash it, the first time it is still smelly. But I promise, soon as you have actually used one with something that smells good like food or something, then wash it, that weird smell is gone. And that initially odd scent does not transfer to anything so you don’t have to really worry about that.I use so many at a time! I use them for food, random items, anything travel-related, etc. you get SO many with this one purchase! And that is what I love! They are actually fairly easy to clean! I wash them fairly normally, just soap and warm water and scrub the in/outside. But I really suggest that you do as I do and dry them as you would any other dish, but then find something to keep them propped completely open to let it air dry. I use like a cup or bottle or really anything and let them sit till they are 100% dry. If you leave them closed you can promise they will get mold. Just my recommendation. The inside enclosures are decent and pretty sturdy so as far as them splitting like our lovely plastic ziplocks do, I haven’t had a single problem with that!Now I haven’t tried using them for any sort of liquids to store in them. However I did do a little water test by putting water in one and zipping it shut then putting it upside down and shaking it. No leaking so that’s great! I also haven’t used them for heated stuff or to heat in the microwave as they claim you can. But I also do not intend to. I kind of think that the part that zips shut is not quite the same material as the bag and don’t personally recommend doing that as it could potentially melt… (even though they claim it is okay, better safe than sorry!)So overall I HIGHLY recommend these. They have completely and entirely replaced ALL need for any plastic ziplock bags and I will never need or want those things ever again. Love these! Buy them!!!

The opening had very short part to pull on. I often had to use plyers to grab them.

Like the bags. I'm familiar with their kinda difficulty to close, but these are the least difficult I had yet. Worth it and will buy again.

When I first got these I was beyond happy with them. However, a year later & they are almost unusable. I am so sad!Pros:*very thick, durable material*freeze well*wash easily(once you get the hang of it & have a drying rack)*truly are leakproof when closed properlyCons:*if you wash in hot water you will melt the zipper JUST enough to make the zipper nearly impossible to close properly*over time, even when washed in cold water, the zipper warps & becomes basically unusable*the material, while thick & very durable, stains fairly easy so tomato based food quickly makes the bag pinkI really wanted to love these but the zipper issue is a deal breaker. Sadly, I will be looking for a new design.

So I've had these for several months now. At first it was hard getting into cleaning these, but now have a system. Don't use them in the freezer. I did not have good luck with that. Now that I have a cleaning system for washing them, I am very happy that I purchased these and am not buying plastic bags every month. They work wonderful.
