Literally just hold up to your spark plug wire for instant rpm read. I use this to tune my mowers, tractors and other small engine equipment. Really cool little useful gadget.

Easy to install and fairly accurate

Used the tachometer 4 times so far on 2 stroke equipment. Appears to do what it is supposed to. I like that you don’t have to use the wire to get a reading. I hope it lasts longer than the cheaper black ones I’ve ordered from China. (This one is probably from China too) Lol

It works great under 6000 rpms. Over that it is all over the place and loses the screen. If it makes it to 10,000 or 11,000 it will drop to around 6,000 all by itself. Spend the money and buy a much more accurate tachometer.

I bought this as a tool for maintaining small engines, it turns off when there is no signal and you can hold the square end up to the plug wire or spark plug boot and it wakes up and reads RPM very well, works great!

These little clocks work fantastic! Just find a good place that vibrates on your equipment, peel the tape stick on, push the button and you're on your way! I use these on my air compressors that use oil but are electric. I assume you could use these on gas powered equipment as well but i use a different style for that.

This product worked great but after a few months the battery died and you can't open it to replace it.

Instructions are hard to follow. I needed a RPM reader but all kids of numbers. Cannot figure it out.
