Animals Quiz Book: 300 brain busting trivia questions (National Geographic Kids)

So much fun! My 6 year old was reading this for hours. He loved learning about the various facts and taught me so many new things too! A great book to get the whole family involved.

This is the kind of book that my 7-year old will become obsessed with for an entire day, read out loud lots of facts and then put away for a month. It's so valuable to him to be learning in this way and it's surprising what he retains over time. I love the images and questions, and the size is perfect for storing away too.

This is a great family quiz book (the whole range is excellent) particularly good for children aged 8-12. There's a good range of questions so that everyone can join in. The book is informative too!

I really enjoyed looking through this book and testing my knowledge, there are lots of questions and facts some of them I knew and quite a bit of them I didn't. Each page is crammed with facts, quality images and photos so even younger readers can enjoy the animals even if they're not quite up on the information.This one is possibly aimed at older readers, certainly more confident ones, and for younger children, I'd possibly recommend the 'Puzzle' series from NG as they are perhaps more engaging with more variety of activities.But if you, or your child, wants a plethora of quizzes, a bounty of facts, and a menagerie of animal photos—this is for you!

I would have awarded this book, National Geographic Kids Animals Quiz Book, 5 stars *but* it has not been properly printed i.e. cut or bound, and so the pages are not completely level and the cover is at an angle. If I had bought this book rather than being given it to review, I would have returned for a refund as in its current state it is not suitable for gifting. The reason it gets such a good star rating is for its contents. The book contains some lovely photos and is as the title suggests, a quiz book about animals. There are thirty different quiz pages (and the answer page to each is the next two pages after the quiz pages) and a tie-breaker at the end. It looks at animals from different environments e.g. forest, desert etc., as well as extinct animals and those in the garden. The quiz questions are multiple choice as well as true and false. I think it is good value at £5.99 (price on book) and is a useful and portable size being about A5 in size. I also think that any upper primary school age child would find this a fascinating book of fun facts about animals.

This is a great little book full of animal related questions, aimed at children. It’s fun for children to play and learn at the same time. The answers to each quiz all have further information about the animal in question which makes it interesting too. Fun for a car journey or holiday quiz.

The children I know love facts and being quizzed on these facts. The National Geographic Kids Quiz Books all follow the same style and will tax a child on their knowledge. The book utilises all the great factoids and images that Nat Geo Kids have built up over the years. A5 size they contain True or False, Multiple Choice and Picture Puzzles. It is full colour and a great companion for a car journey, if you can handle being constantly asked questions.If you think that you are going to pick up and easily get all the questions right, it is unlikely unless you really are a fan. The questions can be tricky, the pictures are sometimes of things even I did not recognise. I like the fact that there is plenty more to learn. The 'Space' and 'Animal' themes cover a wide range of topics in the subject whilst the 'Our World' is a far more eclectic mix, more like the random fact books that Nat Geo Kids normally produce. All are great fun and will suit any inquisitive child.

This quiz book is superb and full of incredible facts.However be aware that these are serious facts. Not something your typical child animal fan is likely to know. That being said this is your opportunity to teach you little ones all the facts they could ever need to learn about animals.My son is five and too young to read it himself so it’s a great opportunity to spend a bit of time each night before bed read a new pages of facts and trivia. It’s well made and has really vibrant pages full of pictures.
