Lamp in case of power cuts

The battery base is flimsy and the wire connections are poor. The light flickers if you even touch it slightly. The plus side is these do look great

I bought this item for my nephew to put in his tree house , it’s perfect , you get exactly what you pay for , very pleased

I rarelly have the time to write reviews up, but I often take some notice of any feedback available before buying anything online. When I came accross this interesting light feature, I noticed that there were positive reviews, so I didn't think twice and ordered a couple of them straight away. Once they arrived, I just couldn't believe what a huge mistake I had made. I went back to the reviews to check if I had missed something, and found that actually I had. It appears that there had been some not so positive feedback of two stars rating (11%) in total, but interestingly none of these 11% slightly unsatisfied customers seemed to have taken the time in sharing their disapointments with these lights, or so it may seem. I just hope for the sake of fairness this review remains public. Anyway, I have rated 1 star to these, since the idea/design of them in principle is fairly pleasent and appealing, but unfortunately, the end product is far from acceptable.Firstly, there appears to be a number of false advertising of this product, and I hope that the information is ammended to reflect the realityh of what the seller is offering. For instance, the description stated about this lamp goes as follows: "[Convenient night light]-Two modes: 6-hour timer mode/normal opening and closing."There is infact a switch that is off on the middle, and on when flickered to either side, but neither of those appear to change any aspect of the light itself.Secondly, nder the specification table is also stated: "Batteries included? ‎No; Batteries Required? ‎No" Well, either this is a typo. or another way of conning people into buying this product. For the record it does need 3 AAA batteries as the only power source to be operated, when they work. Out of the two lamps that I ordered, once they arrived, only one seemed to work, with brand new batteries, after following the manifactures' instrructions to prep the ligghts to work. I even ordered rechargeble batteries and charger just to use these lights on the regular basis.Thirdly, there is no information provided by the seller on Amazon website indicating that the lights that come with the lamp are attached to the lamp by wires (as seen on the picutre I posted on the left, it's upside down to show the wires which holds the light even when they are unscrewed and turned upside down), so unless you are a skilled eltrician, once the light bulb stops working, then that's it, better dispose of the whole thing, since the manufacturer has made it very difficult for the light bulb to be changed. Which it was another big disappointment since I had just purchased some special edson vintage industrial light bulbs to replace the ones that came with the lam once they stopped working.Finally, this was probably handmade but not wiht much care, as you can see on the picture on the righ, the inside of the cage is clearly opsided, which it could be easily dismissed as a one off error of the manufactures, but this is unlikely, as Shelley wrote on her review in March this year, that she also go a crooked lght. So, overall, not in anyway value for money. As they say, time is money, and the ammount of time I deicated to make this work, by researching for the right lamp, to wasting time and money with batteries and a charger, plus diesigner vintange light bulbls that I may not need after all, and on top of that, I now have to cancel and wirte this review, go back to my searches and cancel this purchase and initiate the returning procedure back to Amaxon. Now, I will just have to find a suitable replacement lamp, And from now on I will make more of an effort in writing reviews up, not just like these, but positive ones too, I hope this information is useful for anyone interested in purchasing these lamps. I will also email the seller to highlight the corrections required to the product and to the information about the product, hopefully my comments will be received and considered.

The lamp arrived and unfortunately the glue had come off! No very well made.
