Good book but abrupt ending
This is the second book in the series of 3 and of course you have to read it know question. The story progress is quite nicely. However if the possibility of a lesbian relationship puts you off, you may get a little uncomfortable with part of this book. There is no graphic Incidence In this book but lots of hints and innuendos. Hope that doesn't come to fruition in the 3rd book. This author is Excellent but I have no interest in graphic lesbian relationships. The most disturbing thing though was that the story just shut off like turning off the water faucet at the end of this book instead of transitioning to another . Already bought the next book so we'll see how that goes.

As Good as the First
I liked this book as much as the first, and can't wait until the next one comes out. MCs are powering up a little too quickly IMO, but that's a minor complaint.

Second book is awesome
This second book was really fun, and the action and un verse expansion made it a very addictive read. I definitely recommend this series and hope the next book comes sooner vs later.

Change of POV was the right move
An excellent follow-up to the first book in the series. Hana, and now Madi and Alysand, are excellent storytellers. TJ has a way with words.

Awesome, But...
The Story, Characters and Writing are Awesome.Unfortunately, I will likely not have the courage to read the 3rd installment of this series when it is released. As I write this review, we are living deep in the maw of Covid-19. 21st century life as we know it is showing signs of getting unimaginably uglier before the end of 2020. All most of us can do is hold onto our pants as the ride continues. Yes, we can vote in the Fall, but we only get to vote for a person. We are never allowed to vote for a new/different system. Too bad that...Thus, many of us are inches from financial ruin or just plain ole' depression. Why is this relevant to a review of this book?Simple, I read Fantasy, Sci-Fi, LitRPG to escape the looming tidal wave of bad juju coming our way in real life.I am taking a loooong leave of absence from hospital work (and advising my coworkers to do the same). I am not too proud to say that I am NOT a hero. Heroes die 1st.Reality is not looking so good right now. :-)So, imagine my disappointment when the MC in my escapist reading of choice has a life more depressing that our Real World problems...In game, she faces the Ancient Evil that the Gods fear.Out of game, she faces a multinational mining, finance and slavery corporation that can change the terms of her loan anytime they want. *The heck with getting the jewelry back from the Pawn Shop! She REALLY should hire a solicitor to review the terms of her dad's loan, eh?*There is such a thing as making the the bad guys in a story seem TOO insurmountable....It might scare small children, pets and readers away. Heh!Who knew that this book could be so well written, yet MORE depressing than Covid-19?I'm afraid that if I try to read book number 3, I'll end up requesting a subscription/membership to Hemlock Society Quarterly magazine. :-)I think I'm going to go read something more cheery for now.Hmmm, Where did I put my coursebook on epidemiology and morbidity?

Alert
First, my review: “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”Over the past year it has become apparent that my reviews are somewhat antagonistic and I apologize to those of you that have taken offense. I think I had hoped to change peoples’ minds about reviewing works of art and that seems to have backfired spectacularly. However, I am still going to be true to myself and write what I believe. To the author: Thank you for this chance to escape reality and enjoy the world you created! Keep up the good work.To my fellow reviewers: Messaging me and reviewing my reviews is as productive as trying to shovel water out of the ocean. Stop. I get it. Let’s just all live peacefully. To potential readers: Art needs to be experienced at an individual level. You are the only one that can determine what you like and don’t like. Don’t let others make that decision for you. You should definitely read the book and completely ignore all of the reviews. You are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here.Cheers

Fantastic Storytelling.
I will keep this review short and sweet. The characters, the world, the enemys, the battles and the story all beautifully written. Do you like big, epic battles a la Lord of the Rings, well there is one in this book and it is amazing.

The second great book
Loved the first, loved the second, looking forward to the 3rd. Solid fantasy, well crafted good length. I thought it was written by a woman( not that it matters) nice female characters.
