So far so good. excellent delivery time, easy set up, all adaptors were included to hook up to my freestanding shower head with regular garden hose (rather than using the included shower head) lit up the first time, temperature was nice (have not tried full hot yet). Small leak at water intake persists even after wrench tightening. Not a big deal as it's an outdoor shower. Will hope and expect it works as well and lasts as long as my last (Flame Chef purchased used and lasted 6 years, died a frozen death from not being adequately drained last winter. The internal drain spout on this unit should prevent that)

Use for washing our dog outside. I am able to turn the temperature down enough so that he gets a warm bath. However, if you needed a hot shower, this would work great.

Only used a few times, seems well made, fast hot water.

Great, functional product perfect for camping or off grid cabins, etc.BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN TIGHTENING THE FITTING FOR HOT WATER OUT. You need to be extremely careful and delicate or you can break the unit. It’s meant for camping and garden hoses. If you are doing a permanent installation with something like pex and brass fittings, be very careful and gentle.MAKE SURE AND DRAIN THE UNIT DURING FREEZING TEMPS. This is super easy and takes five seconds. I’ve lost 3 of these to freeze damage.For any kind of permanent installation, YOU NEED A PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE IN THE HOT WATER LINE OUT JUST A FEW INCHES OUTSIDE OF THE UNIT. This will keep your pipe from exploding in the event that the heat exchanger gets clogged from degree in the water supply and hot water pressure builds up inside the unit.If you have a shower that automatically mixes hot and cold water (one handle) it’s possible that you may only get warm water if your water source is very cold.The best kind of faucets (sink and shower) for this water heater is the kind that has a separate handle for hot and cold.This allows you to get only hot water. Some faucets that have only one handle will mix hot and cold water even when the handle is turned all the way to hot.This is only a concern when temps are below 40 degrees.

Product was great for the first week but then the hose for the shower attachment broke…:( other than that it works great water gets instantly hot.Updated to 4 Stars! Seller saw previous review and gave me a partial refund to purchase a replacement shower set for the unit. I would suggest buying a better quality shower set attachment that’s metal vs the one provided. Also, be sure the unit isn’t used in any area with high winds the flame will blow out and gas will continue to run if the water is on…I had flames coming out from the bottom of the heater when turning it off and back on immediately after it blew out!!!Updated to 1 Star!!!! August 26, 2024 - Unfortunately, the unit stopped working in less than the 1 year guarantee (Ordered on June 4, 2024). The heater ignited and immediately died out, so we removed the front cover to see what the issue was and discovered that the wires and battery pack had melted. I loved this heater when it worked. I think they need to redesign the heater better to protect the wiring and batteries from the flames before someone gets seriously burned.Camplux reached out and offered a replacement, but shipping to Hawaii was too expensive so they asked if I would purchase another water heater from Amazon and provide them with the order number they'll arrange a full refund for the new order. I haven't yet made the purchase and asked for a refund instead but have not received a response.

We couldn't get the first one to work. Customer service was very responsive. After working with us on all the possible causes, the sent us another heater. This one works better than expected. Completely satisfied.

The media could not be loaded. Yes there seems to be a not completely uncommon problem with the hoses occasionally bursting next to the shower head. I actually found that not too hard to repair myself and it hasn't happened again so there may be a weakness where they are first assembled. You can figure it out without too much trouble.More importantly I want to sing the praises of their wonderful customer service.I thought the water inside the case was a malfunction, but apparently I did not drain it properly. The company had a very nice customer service girl that advised me on how to safely remove the cover and inspect it for damage. With a small amount of back and forth they decided to warranty the damage even though they probably didn't have to.I'm not sure every company out there realizes the long-term benefits of loyal customers.I'm leaving the initial review comment below, because I'm sure there will be other people frustrated and trying to troubleshoot. Removing the case is not that difficult, call the customer service number and they will reassure you that you are not breaking the knobs by pulling them off. Be sure to move the heater to a non-freezing location if you've just been using it, the drain may not be sufficient to get the water out of the coils.I bought this brand because they are well recognized. First the plastic hose to the shower head exploded outward. Honestly they're just really thin plastic. Now I can't even get it to run water because all the water is spraying around inside the casing. I have tightened and taped and reconnected the quick connect. They're as tight as they can get and the water is not coming out from the connection it's coming up out inside the case someplace.
