BRIGHTLINES All Metal Cross Bars Roof Racks Replacement for 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander (Highlander XLE Limited & SE, Black)

First, these things are legit sturdy and look great! Second, the folks who have trouble with install must have mechanical challenges or bad/stripped threaded holes on the roof of the vehicle. (You probably should check these before you purchase.) Not only are the instructions easy to follow and well laid out, but the tools provided are all you need. I think the important thing, as described in the instruction sheet, is DONT tighten anything until after the placement on the roof for install completion is done then you can tighten it all down. Heck, the hardest part was using the provided Allen wrench for tightening the bars down at the end because those bolts are on the underside, and its a stretch to even say that wasn't really easy. GERAT VALUE and GREAT PRODUCT!!

This was an ease to assemble and install. Everything is clearly labeled as to where it goes. First you have to attach the cross bars to roof mounts. I found it easier to attach the passenger side first then lightly attach the drivers side since this side is the adjustable. Once it's on the roof and falls into place, you can tighten the screws. A few people had issues with the caps. I found it easier to attach the caps from the back towards the front. Once they lined up, they securely snapped into place nicely.Assembly/installation took about 20-30 minutes by myself.

These are amazing just as original as the ones you purchase from Toyota themselves except a small issue. I went with you all since Toyota is on back order for a while, I did see great reviews but a few regarding the cap that you clip at the end of each bar how alpt of people lost theirs or it didn't even up and that was the case for my Left rear cap when i placed it on the first day all aligned but that so I took the bar off to redo it measurement and still had a small section showing so I lightly tugged it and it seems pretty secure until today....... I had a long travel and had a 70 mph high way I happen to look at my rear view mirror and bang there goes the cap down the High way !!! I was actually shocked lol and annoyed glad no one was behind me so now I'm left with one open section. If you may let me know what I can do about that as I wish to not let that stay open. But other than that fast shipping Great quality bars easy to hook up held some kayaks and luggage so far, I would give 5 stars but that one cap issue from the beginning.

Installed in very little time. Instructions were clear. Helped to review YouTube vids though. Very sturdy. Works excellently with my Thule luggage box. No added cabin noise from just the rails.

Fit 2018 highlander xle perfectly. Easy to install. Took less than 30 minutes with one person. Sturdy. Have already attached ski rack and held up fine.

They were super easy to install, took about 15 minutes with minimal tools. They feel sturdy and look it. Honestly, they improved the look of the car. They look like they belong there. They also hold my kayaks like a champ. What surprised me the most was that after losing one of the cover caps, possibly in a vigorous car wash, I called their phone number and the lady on the other end helped me out super quick and had another sent to my house in the span of two days, for nothing but the shipping fee of five bucks! If I ever need a roof rack again I am looking up Brightlines first!

A breeze to install. I glanced at the installation instructions but didn’t need them. Each piece has orientation directions moulded into them and on top of that there are added stickers to direct you. Only ones that weren’t immediately obvious were the plastic covers. But they have RH and LH moulded into the bottoms of them for right-hand or left-hand. Shorter bar goes up front, and they tell you that with a sticker.It comes pre-assembled so you can see exactly how it should be done. It also comes with an AllenKey and wrench. I installed it in 25 mins.

Overall, quality is excellent. only minor « irritant » 1 screw was different from the other 3 and its head was « rounded » which made it hard to set to the proper tork.
