A Better Idea!Plenty of storage space.We are storing 16 new, very high quality steak knives, kitchen scissors and sharpening tool in this wonderful system.We used to use -2- of the old wood blocks to accommodate the cutlery.This is a great alternative to the disgusting, grotesque, germ infested, uncleanable, wood blocks.After discovering the downsides of wood block storage ( a bacterial breeding nightmare) while trying to forget the family actually used knives stored in wood blocks.We discarded every knife ever stored in the two wood blocksThis is a better idea.A unique, practical, well designed product that frequently.sparks conversation.A very good product and an outstanding value.Absolutely love the item!

Tried 3 different knife blocks that were quite expensive >$50. I have very nice knives (Global, Enso, Dalstrong, Shun, Wustoff), including about 4 large knives. I bought each knife individually for different purposes, not a set so needed a knife holder. The wooden blocks I tried could not hold these knives. Then I found this. Not only it is a very large cylinder and looks nice, but has tons of slots for knives. My largest knife fit in it easily. In some slots I could fit 2 knives. And the way it is designed, it does hold them straight up (kind of makes a click sound when the knife is in the right place) telling you it is locked in place. I also like the fact that I can remove the top and clean everything out every few months unlike wooden blocks. If you don't want a magnetic strip because you are afraid the knife may fall of the magnet and get damaged, then this is the best option you have for your high-end specialty knives.

This looks great and the idea is wonderful, but it's not really practical due to the height.Standard knife blocks are tilted and now I know why ...so you can pull the knives out without moving the whole thing out from under the cabinet.This thing is so tall that in order to pull something out I have to move this every time. May be good if you're not placing on a counter under cabinets.

I have limited counter space and changed this out for 2 wood blocks to save space. All of the knives in the two wood blocks now fit securely in this one. It's easy to get knives in and out of the block, it's sturdy and does not move. Gets five stars for that. However, I'm not crazy about the finish, which is a matte-and-lightly-textured stainless steel. My knives sit next to the stove and the holder occasionally gets grease spatter -- the textured stainless is difficult (read: nearly impossible) to get clean and streak-free.

I love this universal knife holder.It works great for all size knives and looks great It has a slot for kitchen scissors & a knife sharpener .

It’s a little taller than it needs to be, and I wish it was angled like a traditional knife block (would make it easier to use) but it’s fine. It does hold quite a bit which is nice.

I am so wary of anything “universal”, but this dude is the BOMB! It adds huge aesthetic appeal to my counter top, while providing a much needed function. I kept finding these wonderful knife sets w/o blocks and I didn’t want to store them in a drawer because I needed them easily accessible while cooking. There are adjustable rings to take out or keep in for capacity and they don’t effect the knives (ie. no dulling or scratching). Easily comes apart to be vacuumed and dusted and it’s really lite, so easily moved around, even with all the knives. Love this product!

I have a tiny kitchen with limited drawer space. This takes up very little space on my counter and is convenient. I also like that it isn't a bunch of tubes for organizing the knives. The slots are great, and can hold more than one knife I got more than 10 knives into the block.

Been using this block for several months and I'm a heavy user of all kinds of high end super sharp knives. Capacity is outstanding and I curently store 15 knives (Chef, Santoku, 12-in Bread, steak, etc) and blades measure anywhere between 5in to 12in. I could easily fit another 3 or 4 large ones.The spinning wheel underneath is very nice to access whatever knife you needIt's my 2nd block and the first from another brand didn't age well at all. Blades damaged the separators very quickly and it looked awful only a couple of months in. This one is still in mint condition after 6 months and I love it.

ok so at first i was like is this really going to hold 50 knives... and then it arrived, it totally does, I have some really big chefs knives and also a chopper plus other knives and it holds it all so well. The actual canister is so sturdy. If your looking for an alternative of putting the knives in a drawer highly recommend. Also if you have small children who will pull the drawers this is so perfect they cannot reach this at all. This was my who reason for purchasing this item. Very happy with this purchase!

It's big enough for my new 'SHI BA ZI ZUO Heavy Duty Cleaver' and it's stable.The knifes go straight in and rest on the knife edges. And there's no specific slot for knives.Way better than the wooden blocks with fixed slots.

I am impressed with the quality of this knife rack rubber dividers to keep knives apart easy to cleanthe best knife rack i have ever owned would recommend this product .

I love it.....it fits all my knives and so accessible on my butcher block table...
