Le creuset quality
Brought it on an extended-payment basis. It’s easy to clean as are all le creuset stainless steel items - have the saucepans and stockpot and after a while they get an appealing patina of age. Heavy, so not suitable if you have weak wrists. After 7 years don’t look like the box-fresh specimens you have on This Morning and Masterchef but are reliable. The sauté pan has to go on the lowest heat as it conducts so well. Have cooked Chicken korma, lamb’s liver and slow-fried onions and Chicken liver curry. All slightly faster than my non-stick le creuset which I save for cauli rice. A fry-up of bacon, chipolata sausages mushrooms and tomatoes had to have the time revised for the bacon as it sizzled to crispness quickly. Liver got a crisp patina. Rich umami, from the coconut flour, thyme salt and pepper dredging which captures the moisture leaving the organs as they cook. A good purchase, but beware super-conductivity. A speedy little gadget. Have to concentrate on the food. No multi tasking. Buy it. You know you deserve it.

Good quality, great value
We purchased a goodly number of Le Creuset pans when we installed the induction hob.We have added to them since and this just about completes the set. These pans are not cheap, we wouldn't want them to be but the reduced price was too good to miss.If this pan is as good as the rest, we shall be well satisfied

Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless Steel Sauté pan with Lid, 24 x 6.5 cm
Having heard the horrors of using non stick pans & our fry pan being on its last legs, I decided to spend a few bob more than normal on this beauty. It is the best pan I have ever used, just follow instructions to season it (not hard to do) & warm it slowly & don’t turn it too high. It cooks things beautifully, food slides off easily & it cleans like a dream (better than any so called non stick I’ve had before). It is a solid, well made item I expect to be using for years & years & years.

The inner surface peeled off the first time I used it
I bought this pan a few months ago and I was thrilled while waiting for its arrival. Once it came, I read the manual and decided to give it a try by sauteing a beef fillet. The pan is very sticky, so if you are not accustomed to such a behaviour, you should give it a second thought. Even though I had read about it, I was still a bit surprised by its stickiness...but that is not my problem. After the meat was cooked and consumed, I started cleaning the pan using the soft side of a sponge, with no luck. I didn't use the hard side of it, because I was afraid I would scratch it. The instructions were mentioning that when in such a situation you could use a silicon cleaning brush and/or fill the pan with warm water, wait a bit and then clean it. Because I had no cleaning brush I decided to put some warm water in it, waited for a few minutes and then used my wooden spoon that I cook with to deglaze the stuck meat-left over. While deglazing it, a very, very small piece of the shiny part of the inner surface peeled off the pan, which made me feel very awkward due to the money that I had spent. What I later realised when I called on customer support (initially in the states, then in UK and lastly in Greece), was that Le Creuset is no longer "supported" in Greece, hence I had to use amazon's return-policy, which I hadn't done before and which would cost me some money, because shipment from Greece to UK is very cheap if I wanted to return it. The result is that I still own the pan, I am not using it very often due to its stickiness, which I haven't come accustomed to yet, especially now that I own a copper pan that sticks a lot less and is a better heat conductor (and it costed the same).I don't know if I was unlucky with the specific product, but apart from the peeling part, which hasn't happened again but definitely reveals some quality issues, I am not sure that this pan's stickiness is of any particular use and will surely confuse even some very experienced cooks. The next time I'll travel to UK, I'll keep this pan with to return it to Le Creuset, and for their good, I hope they will accept it and give me my refund. As far as those who are looking for a 3-ply pan for their kitchen, I think that copper (with proper care!) and aluminium products are far more versatile, usually of better quality, always better heat conductors, sometimes cheaper (I bought my copper pan on a very good bargain-price) and definitely designed for more professional use, which implies that they usually last longer and are not that "fragile".

Fantastic pan
I bought this nearly three years ago when my previous saute pan died an honourable death. Have used it several times a week since and it's still a pleasure to use. Great for sauteing - obviously - but I also use it for pasta sauces, risottos etc. Never had sticking or burning. Keeps food warm for ages after you take it off the heat - very handy if juggling multiple pans. The quality adds so much to my enjoyment of cooking (and eating) that I've now got another four pans in the range, including the uncoated frying pan. If you enjoy cooking, consider this item. Expensive, but a joy to use and will outlast me!
