A Fabulous TV Series
A truly fabulous series spanning 46 hours of addictive viewing on 15 discs. Along with Spiral (Engrenage) it’s the most compelling TV series I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. Kino Lorber have also done an excellent job in mastering the discs. Although only on DVD, viewing on my big screen projector system, the picture quality was superb. In French dialog only the English sub-titles can be turned on/off. For the opportunity to own this entire series for around $50 on Amazon is a bargain compared to renting from a streaming service.

Possibly the Best TV Series of All Time!
This is possibly the best TV series of all time. The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Line of Duty annd Peaky Blinders are all fabulous but this one is even better. The stories are interesting, intricate and suspense filled. The acting is superb. Characters are diverse, well developed and intelligent. The spy thriller aspect is complex and spellbinding. There are shocks and surprises and the writing is great. In terms of this DVD set from Kino Lorber the video and sound are both sharp. Most of the dialogue is in French with English subtitles. No subtitles for spoken English. This set includes seasons 1-5 with ten episodes each. 50 episodes of about 54 minutes duration. The ONLY disappointment is that there are no extras.I would have preferred a Blu Ray set but Region 1 is not available. After experiencing the video quality of the DVD set I see no need to upgrade if one becomes available in the future. The series is wonderful and five seasons is about right. But if you watch you’ll wish there were more.

Mastery
A masterpiece. Despite the unnecessary ending which was unkind to all devoted fans who were deeply invested in the characters. Could have been left open-ended, left to the viewer's imagination...It was a mistake for Mr. Rochant to hand the fate of his masterpiece to an "objective" Audiard to close the story arc for good. Still, one of the best of its kind.

Excellent complex storytelling.
We were halfway through this series when it was taken off Prime Video. We bought the DVD set so we could finish the story. It’s really really good. Great acting and storytelling.

Vive Malotru
I loved this series. It shows the nuances and the huge moral ambiguities underlying the spy trade. It centers on an agent with the code name Malotru, and his influence in the DGSE.What really makes this series special is how they generate lots of very real characters, and letting you see their motivations without making them people you root for or against necessarily. It’s fun to anticipate some of the things that are coming before they happen. It’s enjoyable to see the view of the CIA and Les Americains reflected in here.My only quibble is that one character kept getting more chances than seemed plausible after balking in missions more than once. It’s hard to believe such an agent wouldn’t get flushed down the drain. At the end there was a twist that it was hard to believe the brilliant Malotru couldn’t see in advance. If you’re looking for a series that shows the ambivalent nature of international espionage with the betrayals and manipulations, and the rivalries within and among the folks in theory on the same side, you will enjoy Le Bureau.

Phenomenally entertaining way to refresh your French
A phenomenally entertaining way to refresh one’s French. Works for me much better than Language Apps.

Excellent writing, directing and acting.
This is not the non stop car chase where they shoot thousands of rounds at each other. So far, no shooting and I've seen seven episodes. There is more thinking and planning than violence compared to other spy stories. This is probably close to the real thing. The main relationship is well developed in that you're not really sure what's going on and where it will end up. It's a good tease and it maintains the suspense.
