I received Big splash perlite instead. Is this the same or a mistake?

Me too just opened the box cannot find any info on line about big splash pearlite nor if this version of the product is cheaper than the product advertised and that I paid for.

scoops for backwash 60 sq ft filter ?

For my QUAD DE60 filter, I use 5 1lb scoops. I place 5 scoops of DE in a 5-gallon bucket and add water to make a slurry and dump it into the strainer opening and use the hose to flush water and DE so it doesn't clump

What volume (in cups quarts or liters, not weight or "coffee cans") are you supposed to use per sq ft of filter?

I think it depends on your filter. Mine needs 10 scoops of the 1 lb size scoop but your filter company would be a better place to look.

What size are the perlite granules (mesh) used in this?

Its very fine power not granules
