DK Eyewitness Sardinia (Travel Guide)

I was disappointed to find Eye Witness has changed the quality of its photography. I have purchased their books on countries I have traveled to for reviewing my visits. This last year have noticed the quality has deteriorated. That being said, this is one of the few travel books on Sardinia& had more information than National Geographic, which cover a few specific destinations and not comprehensive coverage of areas

This travel book is more like something you might read before you go as it is full of pictures and tips, but low on maps and itineraries. Also, because we are only going to the North of the island, only the last quarter of the book is relevant. I know I can look it all up on the internet, but I hate hopping from one website to another on my phone as it gets confusing. I will probably buy a smaller book with a map to bring with me.

I am a big fan of DK guides, and always buy one if I am going somewhere new. I think the new design is not an improvement. The cutaway designs were great in the old versions. Sardinia is a surprising island. Very green and beautiful. I think a guide like this is essential to get the best of a place.

Very well prepared guide. I have ordered it before my travel to Sardinia and it’s gave me an idea how the island is. Contains a lot of interesting information and nice photos. Explains issues which can happen while we travel to Italy. Good quality paper, nice colors. I would buy it again.
