If you're after a super small light for edc this is a great option
If you're after a super small light for edc this is a great option. I put a rechargeable AAA in there and it's plenty bright for anything close up out to about 30-40 feet. I've never seen such a small light that includes a strobe. The UI is low, medium and high by twisting the bezel but if you have it just so, you can press in for momentary on, and a double press sends the strobe. I carry 2 lights, one on each backpack strap as a sort of "headlight" if you will to light my path as I walk. I had 2 Lumentop HLAAA's on there which I thought was perfect as they are AAA right angle flashlights but the way they lay when the backpack is on with one strap, the beam aims too high. I replaced one of the HLAAA's with this K3 and it puts that beam right where I need it. Illuminating dark staircases and walkways the way I hoped the lumentops would have but do not. The clip is reverseable and the light is small enough to wear on your hat. Never buy another gas station gimmick! I really like this light 💘I also look forward to carrying/using this light in the summer time. Most of the time wearing basketball shorts and a t-shirt, most lights are too big and uncomfortable to have on this situation. I'm pretty sure I won't even know the k3 is there. The quality is there as well. I can see I shouldn't have to worry about it getting wet. The included difuser and keychain are a nice touch. The difuser cap just slips right on top and now it's a really bright flameless candle the size of a birthday cake candle roughly, but illuminates an entire room from a single AAA!It does tail stand without a problem. If the lights ever go out, I would hang this from the ceiling on a string with the diffuser cap on and go about my business . Price isn't bad either. I will recommend this light without reservation. I look forward to seeing what's next from nitefox!!!

Small light
Replacement for others. Don't care for the skeleton, otherwise good.

1 year later.
It has been a year since I bought this light as a key-chain light for my primary set of keys. I have carried it every day (that I left the house) and use the light almost every morning to navigate around the dogs in the early morning hour when it is still pitch dark outside. The light itself has been phenomenal. No issues at all. I use the low setting for the dog watch and the higher settings for everything else. It is plenty bright for me.The battery life if acceptable. I do not burn this light for long periods. That is not its intent. I’ll get something bigger if I want to light up the back yard. But for what it is, a small key-chain light, the battery life will do. When the battery does start to fade, it will not go to the brightest setting. So this is my cue to replace it. I will also put a little silicone on the O-ring at this time. The reason the rating did not get the full set of stars is because the finish has faded over the year. It is more silver now than black. This is likely because it knocks against my knife. But my knife does not show any wear. So don’t buy it for the anodized finish because that part will not last. Otherwise, it is a good light and when this one wears out I will replace it someday with the same model.

Built well, eats batteries like popcorn
Lots of good here. First, built very well. The flashlight we have survived the washer and dryer twice so far. The key fob chains are, especially the clasps, are not well made hence we're down to only one. Strongly recommend replacing the stock chain with a simple split ring. Also, it's very bright and the diffuser makes it a great dog harness attachment for night walks. That said, putting a bit of tin foil on the bottom of the diffuser makes it even better for use on a dog harness or collar. If you want leave the diffuser on, as we do with the dog, rough up the inside and the surface of the flashlight where it sets with coarse sandpaper and super glue it.The bad is the battery life. I know the listing says 36 hours. We've not come closer to that, even with Eneloop Pro rechargeables. We get around 18-20 hours (replacing the batteries about every 2-3 weeks) on low. On the highest setting, the flashlight will decimate a brand new battery in 25 minutes.
