Do you have to clean all the old rust off ?

We have a big bench vise that's outside. Didn't realize the "help" installed it outside and of course it started to rust immediately. I spray it down pretty heavy and ext time zi saw it some shiny parts wre shining again. Some rust remained. Now I spray it once or twice a year. Takes 30 seconds or less of spray and it's looking good 6 years later. That's it.

Do I need to clean the under carriage at all? Do I need any sprayer or just use this can and spray? I read it needs to be applied at certain psi

I would recommend pressure washing under carriage and let it dry thoroughly. Just use the aerosol can to spray it on. You only need a sprayerIf you buy it in bulk like the one gallon can.

does anyone know how often I have to apply this to the underside of my car? I live in California .thanks

In New England, we apply oil treatments to the underside of our vehicles once a year. Fluid Film adheres better than oil -so I wouldn't expect it to be any more than that

Has anyone tried spraying this on any magnetos, to weatherize them? Had to REALLY clean my Bolens rider magneto this Spring to get it to run.
