This makes a great little gift for a kid who is “too old” for toys and such. Even adults will enjoy it, although it’s a bit delicate for a child under six or so. The patterns are tiny but very beautiful. Good stocking stuffer.

Love kaleidoscopes and this is a particularly good one

Fascinating, ever-changing arrays of twinkling, colourful patterns that just make you want to say ‘ooh’ ‘aah’ and ‘wow’. You could watch this for hours, whatever your age. This gloFX kaleidoscope works fine with a single ‘wand’ – if you slide both wands into place, you get an extra dense display. It’s neat and light - sized just right for small eyes and small hands. Works best with a strong side light – hold the kaleidoscope parallel to a window, or beside a table lamp, not pointing straight at it.There’s nothing to plug in, or charge, or wind up; you don’t need an internet connection, wifi or USB socket; you don’t even need batteries. All you have to do is hold it - it just works, every time. It never runs down, it doesn’t wear out and the patterns don’t fade. You and your children (if you can bear to part with it!) will get a lot of fun for a very modest price.With mine, the mirror assembly had slid forward a tad, blocking the opening for the rear wand. It was very quick and easy to push the mirrors back with a pencil.

I like that the tubes that make the X in this kaleidoscope provide lots of sparkle. Green is not my favorite color, so I would have liked other color options that were not available for the visible outside of the kaleidoscope. But this was not enough of a problem to deduct a star since the most important thing is that the kaleidoscope is bright and colorful when looking through it, which it is. A marketing hint: I've liked and purchased kaleidoscopes starting in my mid twenties, and I am far from the child that you seem to assume is your market target.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. At first it said the package was running late and had already gave me a heads up about possibly refunding me to order a new. It came in 3 days after it said it would be here but it came neatly packaged and easily set up. The sequin rods were frozen at the time of delivery so we couldn’t use it instantly but when they warmed up it was a spectacular show. I was very pleased with the value of it for how much I paid. The only complaint I have is it arrived cracked on a few of the functionality slots to use your kaleidoscope. But other than that very happy and very giftable for all ages.
