Roughneck ROU68046 Serrated Edge Shovel 1070mm/42"

Very strongly made and fairly heavy compared to other shovels, this was bought to make digging in hard soil easier. So far it has made very short work of digging a large shrub out of the ground, and it has also proven itself in harder clay soil. The serrated edge really does cut through roots, even if you have to hit them two or three times. It was easier using this than our flat spade which we used to use for chopping roots, which is still sharp itself. Would certainly buy again.

Used this to dig up some stubborn roots and it made light work of what would’ve been a nightmare job. The serrated edge slices through soil and small roots like a knife through butter. Solid build, good weight, decent size and feels like it’ll last for years. Total life saver for garden clearance. Can't comment on its resistance to rust as it is relatively new. The blade seems like it can last though.

Decent spade.. Broke loads of cheap ones, digging and over grown garden and removing bushes. This really done the job.. I bought this in a hear wave the ground was hard, this made the job much easier.. I like this spade and the company.. I've went on the buy a edging spade and a rake too. Good size and not to heavy. Slicies through roots and vegetation. ( with in reason)

Great shovel for loading up cement mixers. Good practical length, not too heavy, it fits nicely into the openings of bags of cement or bags of sand. Good quality steel finish that's easy to clean.
