Oh, I do love these tongs. How did I live and work in the kitchen without them??? Two sizes, I hung mine on hooks from a nearby cabinet so I can grab them easily. No more burned fingers on broiling pans - I just use the longer tongs and turn food overand can do it quicker to conserve oven heat. I use them to turn over seared meat in the frying pan and therefore I don't accidentally scratch the bottom of my nice pan. I used them once to retrieve toast caught in the toaster as we have an extra large opening in our toaster. Well made product and the tongs are heat resistance. I am a happy cooker.

The locking-close mechanism works fine, but the tongs themselves don't grip well. The metal piece that runs through the silicone is pretty narrow, so there's a lot of flexible silicone on the edges. I usually have to slide one half under my food before gripping, if I try to grip from the sides the food will fall out the bottom.Doesn't really matter what I'm trying to grab, potatoes, steaks, seafood, etc, it just doesn't work well.I'm going back to my regular metal tongs.

Works very well, and the cute little tab where you just pull on the ring to lock them together seems to actually be a better design than the more typical sliding wire rings around the outside of the tongs for the same purpose.Two specific design features that I like - the spring strength was just right, not wimpy like some, or so strong you get tired using them. The silicone ends are perfect. I used these to take canning jars out of a water bath, and they gripped without any effort at all.

I like it and I love that it locks easily from the bottom (just push/pull the ring at the bottom to lock it) and it does seem well made. The silicone is durable- we've used it even while grilling. The only thing I'd change is the thickness of the silicone at the tips. It's pretty thick and a little bulky so if you're working with smaller cuts of meat you'll have to maneuver it a little. Other than that, these are great tongs!

These are the best tongs I've ever owned!! Well made and the silicon on the sides really helps me to grip them better. With rheumatoid arthritis every little bit helps. I tend to drop things very easily, but this are so easy to hold onto and not slip out of my hands. Also, I love the o-ring close/open feature...makes it so handy to hang or keep closed and place in a drawer. Would highly recommend these! And you get 2 pair for the price...great value!

These are nice. I needed to replace other silicone tipped tongs I had that were broken. The only thing I don't like is that these tips can come off, meaning when you cook food and liquid can go inside of these, and the hole where the metal end comes out of is so small that it is really hard to clean in. Could get disgusting if you don't pay attention to it. I would rather them be non removable and sealed.

Great tongs! They wash well and I love the short one for food that's not splattering, or to toss a salad or spaghetti. My daughter loved the longer one so much that I gave it to her when she went back home after visiting. I think I'll get another set soon because my remaining one is always being used. Dishwasher safe and heat resistant too.

These are excellent quality tongs, both in build and function. The locks work well, the silicone grips are nice for when your hands are wet or oily, and the silicone heads grip really well onto the food while cooking food in pots and pans on the stove. My wife uses these every other day almost and has no complaints.
