Well, maybe if
This product is PERFECT for those lights that are just out of reach places. The dimming feature is great. The only option I personally don’t understand is the color option. I’m in my 60’s so maybe that’s normal..but red, pink and green? There are also two options for white lighting, there is the white I would associate with the old incandescent bulbs, and then there is a super white, the sharp white I associate with the early LED bulbs. I do appreciate the options there, because if it were only the bright LED white, I would have returned it.I love the bulb, it just has options I don’t use.

PAR38 Features review (wall dimmer incompatible (dims by remote) and IR remote for mode changes)
For the price, this is a great PAR38 bulb from a licensed name brand (GE Lighting was purchased by Savant Systems Inc., a home automation company headquartered in the US in 2020).Some characteristics to be aware of:- The Amazon product page shows "dimmable" but there aren't any dimmer compatible markings on the bulb or packaging. With the built-in LED drivers (control electronics) in the bulb housing, I wouldn't plan to use these with a wall dimmer switch. The bulb(s) can be dimmed using the included remote.- Only white mode is dimmable. When used in one of the eight (8) color modes, there is one brightness level.- At full brightness, the white color is brighter than expected and similar to regular white-only LED PAR38 bulbs of similar wattage (power).- The white color mode is listed as 3000 K (Kelvin) color temperature, which is a soft white and seems accurate. It is not too yellow (like a 2700 K bulb) or harsh white (like a 5000 K daylight bulb). The white color temperature stays fairly accurate when dimmed.- The color modes are very bright for use as night accent lighting, but not as bright as the white mode's full brightness.- The white mode is a little more of a spot beam pattern, while the color modes are slightly wider towards a flood pattern.- The included remote is infrared (IR) which means it works similar to an older TV remote and has to have clear line-of-sight with the IR receiver (sensor) under the bulb lens. The remote is also fairly powerful. Some reviews noted difficulty in changing colors of different bulbs in close proximity. You may need to shield the IR beam (for example, aim through a used paper towel tube or move the remote very close to bulb and block the beam with your hand).- Bulbs remember the last set mode when powered off and back on with wall switch.- Rated for use in enclosed fixtures and outdoor rated.Overall, at under eleven bucks (as of late 2021) it's good value for the feature set. It's not a WiFi-connected smart bulb, but it's not priced like one. There are other similar color changing bulbs, but often from no-name vendors with unknown quality (will the bulb overheat, melt, burn my house down, etc.). At least if one of these fail, they should be backed by a large US company.

Awesome light at a good price
I bought six of these to light up my palm tree in different colors for the holidays. While setting them up during the day I was concerned about brightness, but they are plenty bright. For the season I wanted the six lights to be different colors. Each light comes with a remote, but one remote controls all six lights at one time. To get different colors I had to unscrew the bulbs except for the ones I wanted to set the color on, then unscrew those while I set the color on the next one, etc. I was thinking of removing and replacing with the while bulbs after the holidays, but I may just turn them on to white and use color on other holidays

Perfect to use for multiple lamps in a small room!
I was a little worried about using this for 2 separate lights in my small bedroom but it works perfect. The remote control works for both lights at the same time if I point it in the middle but if I point it direct at just one lamp it controls just that one. Still working on finding the sweet spot where it doesn’t accidentally change the one I don’t need changed but that’s not a big deal as it doesn’t happen every time. Super happy about these. Only thing I’ll add is if you’re looking for the option to mix the colors and create your own shade this doesn’t have that.

Good starter color led bulb
This is a good starter color led bulb floodlight style br30, for those that feel overwhelmed with wifi bulbs , bad wifi signal, worried about wifi issues, or not tech savvy. This is not super bright like the plain white br30 led bulb I bought for 15 bucks in store. It gets bright, just not tv glare bright. It has normal blue and yellow light settings with dimming options for 100,50%, down to 10%. There are 8 colors to choose from. The colors arent as bright as regular and there isn't any dim setting for them. You can turn off via remote or light switch. If u turn off via switch you need to give it a few seconds off for it to turn on via switch again and it will revert back to regular light mode. the main light is more like an amber and there is no true white. This is a much cheaper option to Phillips hue and recommended over ge wifi bulbs as they have issues. I only wish it had a adjustable app and was a lot brighter.Bonus is if your house has random momentary power outages, these won't turn on when power comes back on, waking you up in the middle of night which has happened to me a few times with wifi bulbs in 6mo.IF Looking for ALEXA support, wifi bulbs are only option and found 1 that works consistently. Lohas are brighter but 1 of 2 but die fast

It installs like any other light bulb but comes with a remote
My Sunroom that has a fan and two canisters lights connected to a single light switch. Since it's nice to run the fan throughout the day, I would either have to get an electrician to install another wire to the lights or fan, but it wasn't worth a couple hundred bucks. So looked at bluetooth or wifi lights, but didn't want to have to get a phone or ask alexa everytime I wanted to to turn the lights off/on. Then I found these, at about half the cost of those smart bulbs, and bought them. They are awesome, besides being able to run the gambit rainbow colors, these will provide both daylight (~4000k) and soft white light (~3000K) AND dim them via the remote. Not much else I wanted - since each bulb comes with a remote, I mounted a remote by the light switch and on floats around the room!
