Came super fast. Price was reasonable (especially compared to leaf blower attachments) Attached easily to my wet dry vac..and let me hoover up nails and grit from roofers.Highly recommended. I found I had to stop, pull apart a section and clear a blockage every once in a while.So glad I went for this option over a leaf blower extension..who need all that mess all over you, your house, yard etc. Nice and tidy inside my wet dry vac.

This is definitely the best way to clean gutters. No need to climb ladders or dangerously walk on roofs. And unlike leaf-blower-based options (which are basically the same as this kit, but hooked up to a leaf blower to blow out the gutters), you don't have debris flying out of the gutters, getting all over you and everything else below.This device works very well for gutters up to about 10' high, and by adding some more extension tubes and standing a few steps up a ladder, I am able to clean gutters that are 16' up no problem. At that height the leverage can be diffucult to hold back, but I'm a fairly small guy and am able to do it.Using my 5 peak HP 12 gal shop-vac I am able to suck almost anything out of the gutters. Sometimes debris cloggs at the opening of the tube, so I need to lower the tube down and pull it out, but that doesn't happen too often. Note that you'll need a fairly powerful shop-vac to use this gutter-cleaning kit effectively. Anything with a 2.5" hose inlet should work. Shop-vacs with 1.8" and 1.25" inlets will probably not work, partly because debris will get clogged in the smaller tube.If there is any water at all in the gutters, you will NEED a wet vac filter. Using a regular filter to suck up water is a BAD idea, both for the filter and the vacuum.I have found that the extension tubes and the angle adapter at the end tend to separate after a while because they are just friction fit. I have taped them together with fiber-reinforced aluminum foil tape (as used in HVAC), which really helps. Duct tape would also work, but aluminum foil tape has a better adhesive and conforms to surfaces better. I know of another shop-vac gutter cleaning kit where the extension tubes screw together, rather than simply sliding together like in this kit, and I think that would work better.

Needed this gutter cleaning kit for a while and managed to get an open box one via Amazon Warehouse deals. The kit inside the box was in perfect condition. I wanted to be able to clean the guttering without using a ladder, since I fell off one a couple of years back and broke an arm.I bought this as it looks totally identical to the one sold for Ridgid shop vac's and I have one, so figured I'd take a chance on this. Fits perfectly on my Ridgid hoses and other attachments as I thought. I've used it to do the ground floor guttering around my house already, and it works well - my guttering is about 12-13' up, and I'm about 6' tall - I was able to clean and reach easily using 3 straight hoses (I got 2 with the shopvac) and the elbow.Weight wise it did make my arms ache a bit after a while, I don't think my wife would be able to use this for long at all. Being 2.5" diameter the suction was good, and i didn't suffer any blockages despite there being a few years of wet gunky leaves and stuff in the guttering. I was pleasantly surprised at the suction despite the length of the hose I was using, this and my shopvac have cleaned the gutters better than I could have done by hand on a ladder!Overall very happy to recommend this hose kit, it's good quality, fits together well and does the job well. Easy to clean with the hosepipe afterwards as well.

I used this with a Craftsman 6.5hp wet/dry vacuum's detachable blower. The vacuum was almost too powerful and would blow the segments apart. I think some electrical tape might have held it together and kept it from blowing apart, but I didn't need to: I just had to put it back together twice. I used it in conjunction with the straight segments that came with the vacuum to reach my gutters.My gutters came out nice and clean, removing a bunch of wet mucky leaves and sycamore seed pods.

Arrived quickly, good price. We have had bad weather when I purchased late in season because I had just started researching easy ways to do eavestroughs without using a ladder. I would have to buy an extension because I am 5'6" tall and had my arms all the way up to reach eavestroughs well. I do have neck/shoulder issues, so I was in pain for several days, which subsided thereafter in conjunction with some over the counter pain meds. It would be quicker if weather was dry and not wet as in when I did the cleaning. I am very happy with product.
