Mindblowing
A truly different A1 story line line. Complete with unique twists and turns, keeping one guessing why Lucky was so different from his fellow Marines. The plot was well written, and kept one right rivetted all the way to the end. Had a hard job putting the book down in between meals! A good read, look forward to further adventures with Lucky and his embedded A1.

Anywhere, Anytime a Marine is a Marine
Lance Corporal "Lucky" Lee Savage is a Frontier Marine one of a highly trained and equipped assets of the Empire. Between missions they are frozen to prolong their use but "Lucky" was the sole survivor of a disastrous mission and spent over half a century frozen and lost in between the stars. Together with his AI which is named Rocky a legend has grown, the ability to survive missions and come away unscatherd (even allowing for the nanotec in the suits) has made his name known across the military but with his memories lost thanks to long term cryostasis was it luck or something else at work?Lucky Universe was an entertaining read, the technology was off the charts and the world created by Joshua sufficiently futuristic but still anchored in a military mindset. The humour worked and the mystery behind the nightmares and lost memories were intriguing and I'll probably pick up the second novel in the series just to confirm if I am committed to the full story which will span multiple novels.

If you like a bit of humour and some good battles you'll love this.
Not my usual choice of genre, war sci fi, but due to a cheeky grunt with the devil riding his mind and his personal AI giving him grief this turned into a humorous and bloodthirsty tale. Well worth the read.

No cliffhangers but a great next book tease!
Decent storyline although a bit confusing at times. There are two factions who are at war with each other and then aliens are introduced with alien technology. Now bring in the Marines and give them a murky mission and we have the beginning of our story. There is lots of interesting science and technology along with the battle action. Individual AIs are paired (implanted?) with each Marine to give them ultimate heads up information , however, one has a sentient ai that the others know nothing about. So you can see, there is a lot going on here and I haven't even given anything away yet!

Lucky Shot y Joshua James (Prequel to Lucky Universe Book 1)
Lucky s a newbie recruit. He is posted to a ship where his sister is serving. She beats him up. "Lucky" Lee Savage has problems following orders. An alien Dreadnaught approaches their carrrier and easily defeats them. Lucky is ordered to flee and warn the fleet. A nice, well written prequel to lucky's Marines. i enjoyed the read and would recommend this book to all Lucky fans. Nessie.
