Two Wrongs Don’t Make A Right!
I decided I needed a new cycle helmet and after some research I decided upon this helmet by Dashel. I ordered a Large / Blue. What did I get? A Medium / Black! Too small and the wrong colour. A less than impressive performance.

Excellent Urban Cycling Helmet
Well built, comfortable and ideal for urban cycling/commuting. The clasp takes a bit of getting used to but works well.

Stylish cycling helmet with a novel chin strap connection
This cycling helmet is very different from the majority of helmets. The design is very modern and is meant to be more for urban cyclists but I don’t see why it can’t be used for just general cycling. It has a thick padding on the inside which give good all round protection to your head. There are ventilation holes that run front to back on the top which offer less ventilation than standard helmets and I have found that my head gets a bit hotter in this one that my other, more standard type that has more ventilation. On the rear is a loop that is meant for attaching a rear light to although I haven’t been able to attach any of the lights that I have. It would be better to have a small strap attached to the helmet at both ends running horizontally so that a light with a clip could be slipped over it.Adjustment is by a knob on the rear, like most cycle helmets, but this doesn’t have notches that click in place, it adjusts smoothly but still holds firm. The chin strap is adjustable and has a magnetic catch which just snaps into place when fastening and slides open when unfastening. Other manufacturers take note. It is so much easier than the normal ones that push together and I find really fiddly. Finally, the price - it is expensive for what it is which I’m sure is due to the design being very different to most others and that catch but I don’t think it gives any extra protection. If it had the added protection of MIPS then I could see the value in it but without it, it should cost less.
