Liquitex Professional Freestyle Large Painting Knife, No .1

So pleasantly surprised! For the price I'm stunned at how perfectly flexible this knife is. It's ever so slightly smaller than expected, (I read the dimensions, but the spade is just a little smaller than my other one of another brand) but it TOTALLY works great. I've had bad experiences with knives being way too stiff or cheap, but this one is better than expected for sure. I also learned that having the sides have a little bit of a sharper angle is so helpful when mixing & scooping paint. The one I had was just like it but the sides were more rounded and this is definitely better.

Perfect small size and just what I wanted! My old one recently broke after a long time of use. I’ve bought few from other brands previously but was really disappointed. None of them turned out to be good enough. This one is very good quality. I wish I had chosen it from the beginning.

This size and shape is excellent for mixing paint on my pallet as well as doing abstract painting. It is well made and feels good in the hand. I like the angle and grip on the handle.

For the price, I was actually pretty happy with how well this was made. My biggest disappointment, though, was that the spatula was not flat. I don’t know if it was damaged in transit or by the manufacturer, but using one of these for impasto requires that the spatula be flat, and I kind of had to adjust it myself. Otherwise, it is a nice spatula, and sufficiently flexible.

This palette knife is fabulous! It's not too small and not too large. It doesn't bend or flex easily which is nice. Very handy for painting and covering small, as well as large, artwork. Highly recommend.

I got this to replace a palette knife that had snapped after short (and not very forceful) use. The blade is a lot shorter than the one I had but I adapted quickly. I used this for the rest of the school year and it's exactly the same as when I got it, except for some paint on the handle that I never bothered to clean off. My only issue is that it is VERY sharp. I know that some people really like that in a knife, and it makes it very effective for scraping, but my issue was that after some time it would scrape a small hole through my palette and let paint get onto the next layer (wax paper type). Tbh it's not a big deal. The quality and sturdiness make it more than worth it. Great price, too. I usually go for the cheapest product I can find with okay reviews.

I used this one more often that all other pallets knives. It's just the right size for me. Feels good and would last for a long time. Totally worth the money.
