First drop with this lid when it was off the mug on its own resulted in the sliding piece shooting across the room. When I surveyed the damage its just because the slide is only held on by the notches on the side which are all plastic. The plastic is chincy and fragile. I used it for my old 30oz RTIC stainless mug. Would not buy again.

This is exactly what I needed. I bought the 30oz Yeti with the mag slider, automatically thinking I could fill it up with water and bring it to work and not have water get all over my backpack. Nope, wrong. Thank goodness these exist and for the price they are sold for. Exactly what I needed to prevent spills.The sliding mechanism is definitely cheap, and the caps had residue from either where they were made or just from the silicone sliding when opening and closing, but just give it a good scrub and it's fine.

I had two containers needing fresh lids. I ordered this product and 24 hours later it was delivered. Its packaging was assuring as it had couble clear envelopes covering the lids. They sparkled upon opening after rinsing, (that's just me) I placed them on an insulated coffee mug size-cup and on a 20oz tumbler. It's as though I have new containers now. This is a great company, fast delivery and sterile coverings.

The silicone seals the lid however if using hot liquid, the steam builds up causing pressure in the Yeti and the lid blows off. Then after less than a week of use the sliding closure snapped off. The plastic just broke.

Used first lid with 20 oz Yeti Rambler. It wanted to pop off unless it was open to relieve pressure. After half of my coffee, the sliding mechanism broke. Next day, with same Yeti, gave second lid a chance and it broke in the same place, in the same way.
