This MRE was high quality and packaged well. I am putting an emergency kit together and needed some rations that would last long and taste good. Therefore, I bought one of these to test out whether they would be useful in my emergency kit and I was not disappointed. I got the chili beans ration and it was delicious. The accessory pack that it came with was extremely useful and all of the extras within are worth it. This will not be the best meal you’ve ever had, but this will without a doubt be a comforting and acceptable ration when you have nothing else to eat. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for meals to go camping or to add to your emergency kit.

I usually use one of the commercial freeze dried entrees when camping. My son(army) told me the MRE's were actually just as good. They are and you get a complete meal. Great for the end of the day camping/sailing when I have the time and desire for a complete meal. The drink mixes are a plus. They store and pack easily. The taste is still freeze dried, OK, not great but it does come with its own condiment and seasoning packs. Definitely included in my camping adventures from now on.This seller has been great for me. The meals are randomly selected yet I haven't received the same twice. I am not a picky eater, but have not had a bad meal yet. They follow up the sale with an email to make sure everything was right.

I ordered this for my 11 year old son as he was interested in learning more about MRE's. The package contains a fair amount of goodies in it. The only negative thing I have to say is that the mention of random food was only seen after I had ordered the package. The default image comes up as brisket. My son enjoyed the less expensive ratatouilie, but he was hoping to try the brisket. So a thumbs up on the MRE, but a thumbs down on a somewhat misleading description of what you actually receive.

I bought these for the four of us to eat on a long hike. My wife and and two teen aged daughters wanted nothing to do with them at first. But, when I showed them what's inside and how to use the heater, they were hooked. Think old school Cracker Jacks with the surprise inside. They were really happy when it tasted good. My wife liked hers too. She was especially surprised how good they tasted. Will definitely be getting these again.

I received the menu 5 chicken chunks. It was very fresh, but it was missing the heater.

This mre is the real deal. These usually get Bad rep, but they're actually not to bad if you get the good ones. Comes with everything you need to survive one for a day. All you need to do has have a little bit of water for the heater and you're good to go. I received the chicken pesto which was pretty good. These are not knock off mres. I suggest to anyone who is thinking about getting these. Price is a little steap for just one MRE I usually buy these by the box(come with 12 total" on eBay but I only wanted one MRE this time so I went ahead and gave in for the price.

Good quality and surprisingly tasty food! Lots of goodies came with it and all the food was fresh. We bougt this for our 13 year old son to use on Boy Scout campouts. The heater can be tricky to manage, so best used under adult supervision, but heated up the food well.

The MRE was great itself. I am not really a picky person, but I don't like bacon, skittles, jalapeños, blueberries and walnuts. The things that weren't one of these things was the bread and beverages. How did they get all my dislikes in one package??? But it was good for the price. And the jalapeño pepper jack beef patty tasted like canned dog food.
