I put this tape on my sign at my front door. It has rained and it has not budged!! Love it so I don't have to drill holes!!

I used this to hold up heavy duty light strips in my garage. It holds it well, I did clean the wall with a clorox wipe and let dry before applying to the wall. I also waited a few hours for the tape to adhere to the wall before putting the lights on it. So far the tape is holding (2 months later). I did have to remove some extra tape on the wall and it was hard to remove. It did not damage the walls and I guess one would expect it to be hard to remove for how well it stays on the wall.

I've had so many issues finding somewhat decent double sided 3m tape that was authentic and did its job. However, this product is definitely legit.

First of make sure to purchase only genuine 3m tape. Amazon also lists chinese knockoffs that don't work as well. Also important to know is in order to get the full adhesion strength of this tape you must use 3m adhesion promoter liquid #94. the adhesion promoter is a tacky liquid you apply to both surfaces prior to applying the tape. Once the tape is applied it's not repositionable and is el permanente! So beware!

I couldn't find a glue to hold strips of rubber to my painted steel kayak trailer so I tried this double sided tape. It holds extremely well even on days that the trailer sits unloaded, baking in the sun.
