Shade Cloth - 8' x 8'

Where do I start with this cloth.. Out of the shipping wrap the first thing I noticed was no cover, no package. My first thought was it a return sent again? But it appeared brand new. I laid it out and discovered it was a full 8 feet wide but only measured 11 feet 8 long, a full 4 inches short. I then discover it is also pieced together. There is a seam right down the middle. Nowhere in the description or pictures did I see where it stated it would have a seam. There were plenty of grommets, they may have learned from previous reviews? Then, after I install it, I noticed it seemed darker than I would have thought. I checked the paperwork only to find it is rated as a 70% cloth, which lets in 30% of the light. I purchased, per the listing, a 60% which lets in 40% of the light. This has been noted in previous ratings and they obviously do not care to change the listing. Also, I ordered it on 06/06. The listing stated prime delivery by 06/11. That was later changed to 06/14, then subsequently changed again to 06/18. It came 06/14. So to wrap this up. 1) You will get a cloth bundled into a shipping bag 2) It is a 70% NOT 60% 3) It has plenty of grommets 4) It WILL have a seam down the middle 5) It is NOT actual full 8 feet by 12 feet. 6) Do not believe the shipping times, you WILL wait and they will keep changing dates.

I've purchased this product from this company before and I have no problems or complaints except one....There is only a grommet on every corner. No others for securing. I am a private rescue and Outreach in Eastern North Carolina. I use this fabric for emergency shade for local dogs tied up to a dog house in the middle of a yard. A dog house just becomes an oven sitting in the sun. The sun from 11AM til 4pm is brutal on these poor animals. Many dog houses are igloo types so it casts minimal shadow.I secure with baling twine to Tposts. I don't secure so that it touches the posts or any other sharp item. If it's to be on top of a kennel, make sure the chainlink doesn't rub on the mesh. If so you'll have to hang it inside the kennel .Just thread the twine through the grommet a few times and then leave about 2 inches distance from Tpost where I tie a few knots.Don't forget to provide a shade on the southern side of kennel/dog area since the shade will move on the dog. Kennels should have two shades. Top and side.

This is garbage. Don’t waste your money. It is some kind of netting that isn’t normal shade cloth, and fell apart after a day.

Some people need more tie downs, and this outside-the-house cover only ties at corners. But that's perfect for those like me who have an auto-opening (solar) vent that needs a bit of leeway to work well. Makes for a fantastic inexpensive cover to turn a scorching California greenhouse into the perfect shadehouse for orchids. Thanks.

I received this product in 2 days, which is crazy fast and not when the expected delivery date was. I couldn't put it up until today and I'm not quite finished but it seems to be a great product. I'm using poly clips (hinged grommets) to keep the shade cloth fastened to the poles and wires I'm attaching it to. I'm repurposing an old clothesline stand into an umbrella seating area, so it's working out perfect. I scouted the net for over a year, trying to figure out what products to order and i'm very happy.

Works just like it's supposed to. Has lots of ilets to connect to. Seens to be about right in attenuation. Droped the temprature in my greenhouse from 130 deg. to 80 deg.

Brought this product in 2013 - there were grommets spaced every 24 inches along opposite sides. Went to my original order from 2013 and reordered 2 more panels - the ones that arrived only have grommets on the corners. This makes install a huge problem! Unfortunately, I have missed the window for return so I'm stuck with 2 panels that I cannot use.

The material is listed as shade cloth size 8 x 12. After setting it up I discovered it didn't fit the area I needed. I then measured the material and found that it measures 8 x 11, a foot short. Since time was running short for the special event I needed it for, I kept it and made do. However, i wanted others to know they cannot trust this company for correct measurements. This is decent shade material but not worth it if the company has to cheat to sell it.
