We were having problems finding replacements for the 9999 kenmore filter. After trying several brands the filter wouldn't stay locked in place. The appliance repair person wanted $200 for the visit before he fixed it, but said that it was a common problem with this model.We ordered this filter and it went in and locked without a problem! The middle louvered plastic piece is different but obviously works. Thank you!

Filter is advertised as compatible with Kenmore refrigerators, they are not. I purchase this because it was inexpensive. The difference is, when connected the center top is needed as push button to allow the water to flow, the connector it came with is not compatible and not interchangeable.

The name brand filter lasted 9 months this one only lasted a month. This is an instance where the name brand matters I guess.

Our fridge water dispenser was trickling out and eventually stopped flowing. We obviously waited too long to replace. Once we finally replaced it all was good in the world, or at least in the water!

Installed this filter about a week ago in my Kenmore refrigerator without issue. As with all of these types of filers, it must the flushed after installation. This one flushed much more quickly (saw clear water) than both the OEN Kenmore / Frigidaire filters I have used in the past.

Was nervous buying the cheapest filter by 50% but its been in for a week and seems to be working flawlessly. Will absolutely buy again.

This work better that the name brands . And the price was good .
