TOP TUNG ACUPUNCTURE POINTS
B**E
Top Tung acupuncture points book by BRAD WHISNANT.
I see that one purchaser is complaining a little about this book, but I find it really excellent. It aims at conditions and illnesses today in the western world,1. Master Tung's books dealt with many conditions that we don't see these days. 2. If one finds it difficult to locate the positions of the points many other books show them, but the small 'Illustrated Tung's Acupuncture Points' book shows the points positions in photographs.3. Actually the areas where the red and white skin meet ( the A and E lines) on the sides of the fingers is quite easy to see once you get used to it.4.Yes some areas of the book are a little repetitious, but a number of teachers write books in this way deliberately to reinforce the subject in the mind of the reader. So Brad. I find this book better to use than a couple of your earlier books. Mainly because being now retired at 85 from my original 25 years in business as a five element Lic.Ac. I am still utterly fascinated by the subject and constantly study Dr. Wei-Chieh Young's books and many others. Also it helps to to have the benefit of this knowledge and be able to use the wonderful little pins to be able to treat oneself in old age. My own doctor was rather surprised that I was able to do that. So keep it up BRAD.

WORTH KEEPING IN THE TREATMENT ROOM
Good points from some of the masters of Master Tung - Lee, Young etc all brought together in a very easy to understand and follow book. There are lots of alternatives for numerous complaints/conditions - often one works better for someone than another.

Amazing
This book is amazing, Brad's amazing. He bridges Master Tung and Tcm, simplifies the point usage making them easier to understand and use in your clinic to great effect. Thank you.

which I actually quite like but there is a lot of repetition
This book needs some proper editing. It is written in a very conversational style, which I actually quite like but there is a lot of repetition. The author tends to say something in one paragraph and then say it again in the next - just in a different way. It's a shame as there are some really valuable clinical insights to be had here. Another minor gripe is that some of the point locations are vague - the author makes one aspect of the location clear eg. "needle the area where the white and pink skin meet" but we have to rely on the illustration to see where about we are looking. The specific points I'm referring to are the "Tou Points". They are on the mid metacarpophalangial joints but I only know this from having seen them needled on a video (and, of course, from the illustration). This is not clear enough for me as these joints are fairly big compared to a needle! There are a few other errors that I noticed too. However, there are some great bits on information in this book but I feel the price is too dear for the level (or lack) of editing.A good book for the collection but not a patch on "Practical Atlas...." in terms of content and detail.

Good product
This book is clearly for professionals, not for rookies.

Fantastic Tung point book focusing on most important and useful points in practice
I have a number of Tung points books already, but this book is by far the most useful one in my clinic. It gives your clear and concise information about point location, insertion and clinical applications with Dao Ma's.Brad has whittled out less commonly used points to leave you with concise 'clinical pearls'.Highly recommend you get this book if you're using Tung points or are just starting to incorporate them into your protocols.

Must have on Tung Acupuncture
First review I have felt compelled to write. Brad offers honest, practical application of the Master Tung style of Acupuncture. Indispensable book . Only thing is the diagrams are a poor reflection of the text. You need to know how to needle the points already, or go to Brads website and watch the videos.
