I had my doubts about this because I had one made of the same material and the four edges curled up annoyingly. So I posted a question and was assured this one doesn't do that. Okay, I'll give it a chance.We live near the beach, so needless to say a lot sand tries to make its way into our house. Before this mat, it was a constant battle and now it's much easier. When I shake it out, I'm amazed at all the sand and debris it catches. This is a great mat that I highly recommend!As a Prime member, I buy a LOT of stuff from amazon. Living out in a rural area far from a city, amazon is my go-to source for many of my purchases. I never write reviews, but this product definitely deserve one! I absolutely love these doormats... I live in Florida where my backyard is a sandbox... I have 4 dogs that love dragging all the dirt with them inside, specially sand. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have been able to have a CLEAN floor for a whole day! yes that is a lot! Usually after cleaning the floor within minutes is dirty again from the doggies going in and out. I placed one inside and one outside the backdoor. I forgot what a clean floor felt like when walking barefoot. Also it does slip on title but that was an easy fix and not even my dogs running can move the mat now ...

When this mat was first in place I thought it was going to be perfect. We live in the high desert and it can be tough to keep sandy dirt outside. In the beginning, the grassy texture did a great job at cleaning our feet and shoes when we were coming inside. But within a few months there were pieces coming out of the mat; soon there were several bare spots, and eventually I just threw it out because it looked terrible at my door. I've seen several rave reviews of this mat, so either they wrote their reviews before the mat started to decompose, or else this mat is not capable of withstanding high temperature climates. Either way, for me, this was a waste of money.

We use this mat for our RV. We place it before the steps so we can wipe our shoes before going inside. We're on our second mat and I'll continue buying them because they work GREAT! A lot of our trips are spent dry camping in the desert so we're in the dirt a lot. We keep the mat in place with two tent stakes and it's in the sun a lot, which means we are pretty rough on it but it lasts us a couple of years before needing to be replaced.The stiff "grass" works great for getting dirt, rocks and mud off our shoes so it really helps to keep us from tracking dirt in the RV. We stomp and wipe our feet feverishly and the mat takes it very well. I'm so glad we discovered these little gems!

We live on the Gulf Coast and our yard is more sandy grit than anything. We have two doberkids who have a doggie door and where they go in and out always looks like mini beach thanks to all the gritty dirt they drag in on their paws.I got two of these mats and the way they are set up on the porch the boys have to cross both of them to get inside and I am amazed at how much the mat have cut down on the piles of sand and dirt in front of the door.I shake them out every other day since I don't want to have to pick them up weighing a ton...... cuz if they are getting as much crud off the boys' paws as it seems, they would be heavy..... pretty quick.I have tried other "dirt collecting mats" on the porch but both boys think I put them out there for them to sun on and they will drag them to a sunny spot.....something they haven't done with theses mats. I think the texture isn't great for nose scooting or mouth feel ( HA HA mom out smarted them for once!!)It took them a few trips across them to figure out the texture wasn't painful...a week or so on the porch and they are running across them like they do any rug.Wish I could find one like that that was 8'x10' "porch size"!

I like these but I have them inside the house just inside the door. They are made for the outside but I am afraid they will get stolen and they are definitely too nice and not cheap enough for me to risk that. I haven't tested them out in heavy rain or snow as we are still in the summer, but they are working pretty well so far in collecting sand and dirt.

We live in Florida where sand is everywhere and with that sand come sand spurs, small round thorns that stick to everything. We walk our dogs everyday and needed to make sure we didn't track any of these thorns into our house where our newly crawling baby girl might encounter one. It's rough enough to wipe our shoes on and keeps what was wiped embedded within its thread. A quick shake and beating of it loosens the trapped debris easily and it's ready to use again.

I like the mat itself, it cleans boots etc, but the bottom and the edge started cracking after not even a month outside. I was going to buy another one for the other door, but I doubt I will do so now.Standard use, little traffic on it.
