I've had periodontal disease for 30+ years, I've had 2 surgeries on my gums - many years ago. The doctors say it's in my genes and I just have to be vigilant in my cleaning routines. I use Sonicare, rubber tip, proxy brush, different kinds of floss, and every appointment they say I'm doing an excellent job. However there are still certain problem areas that are next to impossible for me to get to. I can't believe the Sulcabrush was invented in the 80s and I was introduced to it only recently! After using it for only 6 months, my most recent appointment revealed that my pocket has shrunk 1 mm, which is huge! On top of this, using the Sulcabrush daily prevents calcium deposit that creates the hard plaque I hated because it was only removable by the hygienist using special tools - every 6 months.Gum brand has a similar brush, which I also tried but the angle wasn't there and the bristles were much too long and soft to effectively get rid of plaque. I love the Sulcabrush and plan to buy for everyone in my family.
