Dinosaur ElectronicsN991 Replacement Control Board for Refrigerator

Dinosaur electronics is the place to go for Circuit boards for older rv refrigerators around $2,000 for a new refrigerator or $200 for a rebuilt circuit board. Now my refrigerator works just fine. Not that hard to replace take some pictures of the wiring on the old board so you’ll know how to wire the new one. Just make sure you move the jumpers to the right pins for your model. There’s only around 5 wires to unplug and plug back on the new board.

Had a norcold 9158, 20 year old fridge that would get cold but would shut off any time the temps outside got over 80. I replaced the controller board with this one and the fridge runs flawlessly now. This appears to be a well made board, and though I didn't have to use it, I hear their customer support is excellent.

I'd been trouble shooting and battling a flaky 20 yr old fridge in my RV.I would be satisfied with getting at least one functions to work. It was buy a new fridge for $1600 or play the l longshot and try a mother board. I installed it in 15 minutes, turned it on and bingo. severy system came on. Even codes and stuff I never knew existed.

Delivered quickly, well made and just worked! It doesn't get any better. Because of the stiff ac heater wire and it's location I cut two slots for them in the bottom of the provided cover with my dremel and cutting wheel although it was probably not necessary it simplified the overall installation. A ten minute job. Thanks very very much.

Model was not listed but called Dinosaur for jumper location and fixed problems like turning off by itself after a couple hours / igniter would sometimes not turn off / lots of strange problems....1st I baked the old board for 10 minutes at 390 degrees and that worked partially but not completely so maybe try baking 1st .

Worked great. I had a little trouble but called Dinosaur Electronics. Actually it was answered by a person who was great.

The media could not be loaded.  They don’t answer on their website, my fridge is on, but I can’t control temperature or anything else, is in a sort of a preset mode, and the lights keep flashing. No customer support. An expensive price for a simple board, but is the only one that “works”

EDIT: Close to two weeks without any return on contact request, but I've managed to identify the problem.The default state of this product is off, which means a fraction of second of power interruption, on the 12v control signal, turns the device off. This is a bad choice for any number of reasons on a vehicle. Battery discharges to far over-night before your solar kicks in and charges it back off? Fridge turns off and stays off. The stock board for the fridge has a default state of ON. Power goes off, power goes on, and the stock board turns your fridge back on, like it's supposed to.As a result, this device is most likely not compatible with after market over-heat prevention devices, such as ARP fridge defend.END EDIT:I purchased this part, installed this part, and it worked. A few days later, I was told the fridge was no longer working. I pressed the button to turn the fridge on, it comes on. Less than 24 hours later, it's off again.I've contacted the company multiple times over more than a week and as yet not so much as an automated email reply.Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to _be_ another option, so I'm not sure where to go from here.
