Extreme Max 5600.3093 Block w/o Hook

I used a pair of these in a DIY garage elevator system. They handle the load just fine, but any misalignment and the snap rings have a tendency to pop off, creating a dangerous situation. So pay careful attention to the assembled geometry, and inspect the snap rings regularly.Update July/2018: Had another snap ring failure, so I replaced the shaft and snap ring with a 2.5" long 3/8" bolt, washers, and locknut. It should never fail again. For full strength, use Grade-5 bolts.

Proved to be too good to be true. Price was right but arrived in pieces. I was able to put it back together but I expect it to fall apart anytime I used it and I doubt that it will hold to the strength it states. I've only used it as a manual rope pull snatch block. Intended to use with my UTV winch. I don't think it will last in that application.

If this isn't perfectly straight (never is when using winch) then the C clip might pop out and it falls apart.After mine broke I couldn't find the C clip so I replaced with bolt and nut and it has worked since then...

I used it once and it pretty much exploded. I found a few pieces but the rest are buried somewhere in a mud hole. Not heavy duty at all.

This thing is great to use with the winch on my quad. The only thing I'm worried about is the little spring clip to keep it together but so far after only a little use it is still holding together.
