LaneyAcoustic Guitar Amplifier (A-FRESCO)

Having been playing acoustic guitar for many years I know amplification can cause issues with depth of sound . For myself a few years of research went in to looking at a battery powered amp for busking but most have for obvious reasons small speakers or are general purpose .The laney A Fresco has an 8 inch speaker rather than a 6.5 so bass response will be somewhat better but like any stand alone amp to get the tone you want it needs help .Delivery was prompt midday next day so decided to grab some pedals and take it out open air for a spin with some harmonicas down the local park for an hour .Looking over the amp build quality is good but what you would expect for the price . I have a Fender 65 and a acoustic 100 watt acoustic for gigs well used over the years so build quality is much the same with all working amps so do not expect a tank .I used a Xvive Mike acoustic pedal , Lone Wolf Harp Tone , and a Boss AD 3 , dialed in some setting and gave it a blast using a Seydel classics with a bullet Mike .The 30 watts is more than enough to project the tone you have chosen , I had the Fresco set at 1/4 on level and main more than enough to project 10 feet or so .As a performing musician I know it’s not what the pro says as they are way to critical like myself , but what your audience thinks .Conclusion :- Four people stopped to listen for a few minutes , one commented great tone .
