Got what I needed

I always get this brand. I think they work good because I have trouble with Low Sodium. So bad that I was put in the hospital once for it being too low. I did not know it was an electrolyte either. If your Sodium level gets too low, mine was at 25, you get very confused and forgetful and you can go into convulsions, coma, and eventually death. before I found out what the problem was I was actually scared I had Early Alzheimers' Onset. Then when a Dr. did a blood test he called me and told me to go right now to the ER because my Sodium was way too low. Every day when I got up I had no idea what day of the week it was or if it was a weekday or weekend. I'd always have to check my iPhone to know the day of the week. Once I was driving and I got so confused; I did not know where I was, where I was going or where I had come from. This was scary and thank God it lasted for only about 5 mins. I was confused about everything. My husband would tell me the insurance man was coming over in the aft and I'd forget it when he got here. This happened for a lot of things. I can't tell you how happy I was when I found out it was because of low sodium. As soon as the sodium went up all those symptoms left. The Dr. told me to drink only 1.5 ltr. a day. For me, that seemed impossible but I did follow directions. But after a while, you tend to forget and go right back to where you once were. As soon as I'd notice the forgetfulness I'd realize how much I had been drinking. So that is when I began buying these tablets and they help. The forgetfulness and confusion would all clear up. But I was afraid of taking too much. Especially now. I have low stage high blood pressure and am on med. for it. I still use the salt tablets but I am careful. I also take Thermotabs Electrolytes which I get at Amazon also. I want the sodium and potassium. Without these tabs I have Charlie Horses in my legs through the night. They are really painful. With these tabs I don't have them. I take 2 in the morning and that's all. I noticed I was confused again about the day of the week so now I take a salt tablet also but I'm going to try every other day with them. My confusion is gone now. Who knew the importance of salt. I sure didn't. I read an article where your heart needs so much salt also. Everything in our body does in order to function. That was long but I wanted you to know how I know they are working in me and helping me. Both items.

Reasonable priced for those who need to take sodium chloride on a daily basis, for medical reasons.

My sodium level is 25, way too low. I am 81. My doctor has now prescribed sodium bicarbonate. Insurance wouldn't cover it so I went to Costco pharmacy and they will have it for me in two days. Anyone else take sodium bicarbonate out there? Any side effects from it? I took as many as 4 of these tablets a day, and my sodium barely budged. I drink too much liquids for sure which is bad for sodium levels in the human body.

Does a good job

These are the same quality I have used in hospitals before, they work fast and easy to swallow. (As with ALL medications, consulting a doctor should be done prior to taking any OTC supplements!) Just be sure to get it down quickly with lots of water… unless you enjoy the taste of salt ;)

I have never been one of those people that needs a lot of salt on my food. I don't avoid salt particularly, but when I switched to a restrictive diet due to food sensitivities, I quit eating out, and started eating either home-made or organic foods, which have much less sodium in them than their traditional counterparts. As a result, I found myself eating about 50% of the daily recommended value of sodium a day . Which was ok (but not great) as long as I didn't exercise or drink too much water. Once I started to drink water regularly (about 2 cups a day as opposed to none before) I began getting water poisoning (the early stages, where I felt queasy). Once I figured out that I needed to eat more sodium, I had to eat little salt packets whenever I exerted myself (neither dignified nor delicious). It took me 3 months to finally realize that I wasn't going to find any pills anywhere else, so I purchased these. They are exactly what they say they are, Salt (NACL) and nothing else. each pill is about 16% of your daily recommended value of sodium in the US (2300mg) so you can use these to sumplement your diet without worying about getting too much. They are also really easy to swallow, but when I am feeling queasy (from low sodium) these upset my stomach a little more. So I either suck on them, or eat a little salt first. If you have problems keeping most pills down, you might consider some buffered pills. Personally, I wanted to have salt without any additives because I tend to be sensitive to pretty benign things. All in all, exactlly what I was looking for.

I rarely write reviews and usually do so only after time has passed to assess the credibility of the product. This sodium replacement is a life saver for me. I really thought I had early onset PD, terrible shaking, I could stay up 48 hours without falling asleep (i was exhausted, believe me) and was living on sleeping pills (OTC no longer worked and I had to resort to Ativan, which I hate it makes me feel like a zombie) I took all kinds of panel testing through physicians, MRIs, CAT Scans, everything completely normal. I am quite active in sports and noticed that the shaking increased dramatically after exercise. I stopped coffee and alcohol to see if these were contributing to my shaking. No improvement. I drink alot of water but I felt like I was always dehydrated, if that makes any sense. As a last resort, I ordered these salt tabs after reading about them and four days in, I fell asleep on my own 2 days now, and my shaking has completely stopped. My blood pressure has never been high - even at 53, it runs 100/80 nd I have never been diagnosed with POTS. I don't know what my problem is but I can honestly say these tablets have made me feel just about normal, its been a long time since I felt this good.
