Its what expected. No hassle
Received a CP685AVRLCD this week. Charged it and used it, without installing the SW app. The only minor disappointment is the wimpy charging circuit. It does a fairly slow charge. Two thoughts about reviews slamming the time a UPS will power gear during an outage. Any UPS I know of using a single 7.2Ah battery is made for use DURING THE SHUTDOWN PROCESS, and not for sustained power. If sustained (hours) are needed, a multi-battery power station/pack, solar system, or generator are the answer. With a 150 watt incandescent bulb on the output, my new CP UPS powered the load 12+ minutes. That's enough time to backup to a fast external SSD on a USB 3.1 port. The Runtime Minutes displayed are reasonably accurate when one is using a light load. I tested it with only a 7 watt nightlight plugged in. Expecting minutes shown to be correct for any load a user might choose isn't realistic for a $100 device. I'm not affiliated with any manufacturer. I do have a long electronics background.

Amazing Product.
CyberPower are awesome, prefer over APC.

The display is worth the extra
I live in the county. Yes, I'm only a block from the city line, but I'm on county power. That means I have frequent brownouts, flickers, and outages. So, I now have two different CyberPower UPS's in the house. I have a cheaper model in the server room with the NAS and infrastructure, and this model powering two gaming PCs.A PC with a half decent power supply doesn't really need AVR, as it can automatically compensate for high/low voltages. But I figured the higher end models might be better at covering those momentary "flickers" where the power goes out for a fraction of a second, and surge protection is definitely an issue. I'm sure we get spikes well over 240V.And it works. But, I have discovered that I really like the display. When the power goes out (again) I can see the time remaining at the current load, right on the panel. I know it really doesn't make a difference most of the time (it's a gaming PC!) but it's nice to know exactly how much time I have left to save. (Yes, I know, Total overkill. I take my gaming seriously, apparently.)So, er, a lot of typing to say "it seems to work fine" and "I like the display".It works fine; I like the display. There.

It's a good brand (so far!)
I bought this because I've had so much success with one of the bigger CyberPower towers, which I use for my gaming rig. But what good is maintaining power to my gaming rig when my cable modem and router go out? So I got this smaller one to handle those items after a different brand of UPS gave up the ghost. With this thing working downstairs and the tower working upstairs, my power went out for about 5 seconds the other day and everything worked great. No loss of internet, no loss of power to the PC.I've gone through a number of battery backup systems over the years and while I understand rechargable batteries wear out over time and must be replaced, my experience with other systems has been that they wear out quicker and sometimes the electronics go, too, rendering the whole thing into junk. CyberPower is the first brand I've tried that I've actually been happy with long term. I've had the tower (CP1500) for just over 5 years and it's still going strong with no battery replacements and still has a good charge. Hopefully this smaller one will last just as long for my cable modem and router.

Not for high speed ethernet
I have had for a month, and surge protection and stabilization for 120v line seems good. I have not had to use battery backup yet. However, the RJ45 [ethernet] jack is very slow. My first unit was terrible - less than 50 mbs on LANtest, sometimes below 10. I got a replacement from Amazon, which was better - sometimes close to 300 mbs, but more usually around 150. My configuration without the protection runs at 300-700 mbs. There is no obvious phone tech support, and the e-mail-form fill-in was answered is about 10 days. The tech said the port is rated at 100mbs half duplex. I can't find this anywhere in the specs on Amazon. So beware - if you rely on a home server for music, photography image manipulation, etc, it will slow you down.
