It goes forever. **Q: will this fit tight in an inside corner?** A: That depends on the size of the corner. The angle finder I have is 8.55 inches long and just under 1.4 inches wide when closed, so the corner must be large enough for the tool to fit inside. The pivot end has a radius slightly smaller than half the with of the two straight edges. You can make a mockup of the tool using the dimensions I have given here an the angle you need and see if it fits the corner you want. **Q: Are measurements laser ecthed?** A: The measurements are etched, not printed. **Q: Does it split the angle in half for miter cuts?** A: I have had to do a lot of atypical miters and how I do this is to cut one miter angle and them measure this angle to determine the other angle on the miter. This has worked well, but can difficult if you do not have the space needed to expand the Gem Red. Overall this is a remarkable tool that is very accurate. But I needed to buy a smaller digital angle finder to work in smaller spaces. (And offered a full refund as well). The product is decent, and does exactly what it needs to do. Based on that and some good customer service happy to go with 5 stars. Felt somewhat disappointed it didn’t come with a CR3032 battery. Not the sort of thing I have lying around the house normally.
