Since Crystal hypoallergenic deodorants are made of mineral salts, they are safe to use just about anywhere on the body. Happy rolling! **Q: Would this scent work for a guy or is it more for women?** A: You can buy the "unscented" version or the "scented" version. For a guy the "unscented" version would be ideal. Personally, I no longer want to use scented deodorants and I don't even buy cologne anymore. Why? Because, one day, a guy walked into the room wreaking of cologne that smelled bad. It was only after I thought about it a minute that I realized it wasn't coming from him, it was what he was wearing. I don't know what kind of cologne it was. Yes, if you happen to like the particular scent that someone is wearing, great! If you don't, you're going to be miserable, if you're stuck in a room with them (doctor's office, small party, etc). Also, I think that motels should try and find (if there are any) "unscented" cleaners for their rooms. I don't know why the smell of cleaner lingers all day and night but it does. There were two different motels that I had to spend 2 days in that smelled bad to me, not funky, I didn't like the scent in their rooms. At a future date, I paid a little more for another motel and the cleaner that they used smelled wonderful. It is the only brand I will ever use. I have used the actual crystal one the most and have found the easiest way to use it is by applying it directly after taking a shower. I don't dry off I just apply it by counting 20 strokes. I shower at night and the deodorant will last for like 36 hours doing it this way. I don't recommend keeping it in the shower though. With the summer months I am shaving my armpits more frequently and applying the crystal right after that can make my armpits sting and creates bumps so I started using a little bit of coconut oil right on my armpits just after drying them off. Then after fully getting dressed and ready for the day or bed, I apply the roll on Crystal deodorant. My armpits don't sting and I don't get any bumps plus the coconut oil helps the deodorant last longer. I do about 5-7 swipes of the roll on and I am good to go for pretty much 48 hours. The coconut oil does not stain and has antibacterial properties. These deodorants are meant to be used liberally so cake it on. It does not stain and your clothes don't get the yellow sweat stain like with antiperspirants. Plus even when you do start sweating it doesn't look like it in the arm pit area. These deodorants work for smelly feet too. Also for the people saying the balls don't work, you have shake the product then move the ball with your finger. Unsticks and works very well.
