Useless for our 81 pound lab
UPDATE: I am not changing the review and still feel the diaper is not constructed properly to absorb urine. But, the seller has read the review, listened to my complaint, and gave a refund. We are using a disposable diaper UNDER this washable diaper. If you have a larger dog the disposable diaper's don't fit properly. Using the this washable diaper in conjunction with the disposable works perfectly. This has solved our issues. We have a rescued lab that we knew had incontinence issues when we adopted her 4 years ago. The combination of Mocha taking Proin and going out multiple times per day, her incontinence was 99% corrected. If she drank a lot of water, there may be a dribble, but that was rare. After reading the reviews of Proin, we became concerned having our wonderful pet continue with this medication. We began an herbal remedy and knew there was a possibility of leaking. We ordered these washable diapers and began the herbal replacement. Our routine stayed the same and we continued to take her out about every 3 to 4 hours. These diapers are very cute, but useless. What would be the crotch area there is nothing to absorb the urine. The urine leaks when she is lying down, sleeping, or sitting. She has no idea she has made a puddle. We watched as she was sleeping and the urine just ran out the leg hole. There are doggie liners that may work inside the washable diaper and we might try them to see if we add another layer the urine won't leak out the leg hole.We aren't convinced the herbal remedy will work and will go back on the Proin if we find the incontinence is winning the battle. Our dog has problems sitting in this diaper and does not enjoy wearing it, but we want to give the herbal remedy a wholehearted try. We will buy liners to see if they will help, but without adding a liner, this diaper is useless for our lab.

Essentially Useless, Horribly Uncomfortable on the Dog
Just like Chinese made garments for USA humans, these seem to be sized for Chinese dogs. The size I purchased seems to be appropriate for my size dog, Velcro flaps meet in a reasonable place where you'd think they should. A size smaller or larger seems like it would be clearly wrong. But the leg holes are small and seem offset too far forward or rearward and don't coincide with the tail hole. It's not a big, floppy "diaper". It's more like some kind of "Sleek sexy G string for your dog". The ad copy seems to mirror that concept. My dog appears to hate it when I put the thing on her. She won't sit or lie down once the diaper is on. She literally stood against the wall for hours at bedtime instead of lying down. The nylon diaper is stiff and hard. Nothing at all like you'd think a diaper should be.Essentially useless.

This is just the cover, you still need some ...
This is just the cover, you still need some kind of insert. Our dog was dying of bladder cancer, but these would not stay on her no matter what, they kept slipping down off her back but the smaller size was too tight. we ended up having to use gauze to create doggie suspenders to keep them in place. doggie has since passed and we passed these on to a local animal hospital. Our dog was a yellow lab, her hair was smooth and soft, maybe a different kind of haired dog, they wouldve stayed up, or a dog that didnt have such a downward slope from her back to her tail.

Horrible Fabric
These are just ok... but I am looking for another pair.I agree with thee other reviewer who said that the fabric is weird. I would compare the fabric to that of a folding sunshade that you put in the front window of your car. Or a fabric yoga mat or something.I ordered the XL and this does fit my 55-60 furbaby ok. But she looks EXTREMELY uncomfortable wearing them compared to the cotton/mesh pair that I purchased for her (But lost). She has that full diaper cowboy baby walk going on right now. And I can always hear when she is near, because of the fabric...it makes like this SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH sound when she is walking ROTFL... this is mos def a FAIL

These fit!! Buy these! Stop shopping now!
Ok, these are life/furniture life-saving! Tried all sorts of the disposable diapers from the big pet stores, but these are the best. My pup went in to heat before I could get her in to the vet to get spayed so, yay ๐๐๐. These diapers fit AROUND the dogโs upper thigh amazingly well! I used a ladies maxi pad inside to catch the mess-donโt forget the that part! Washable too!!! My pup is 65lbs and I purchased the XL size.

Will buy again
My Hollybear is 15 years old and started leaking urine, not just drops but puddles. She is a lab border collie mix and weights 60 lbs. Other large sizes didnt fit comfortably but this product did.. Other diapers that I have tried the tail hole was way to small this one has a bigger hole for her tail. If I could give one thing that would make them better it would be make the tail side longer so it would fit more mid section so they mose snug where it counts. For lite to mid leaks this is a great product for heavy you may want to add a disposable insert. This one was the best out of they four others that I tried just because of they tail hole..

Mixed feeling on these.
Some aspects of these are great, like they're easy to wash and stay on our young Boxer's thin waist. But there's a problem, the hole for the tail just doesn't end up in the right place. They move so her private parts end up in the tail hole. It's probably a problem for most breeds with docked tails. We've decided to put doggy diapers underneath the panties and hope that will fix the problem. But I am debating just sewing the tail opening shut.

Measurement given is where sizing begins
My girl is only 23 inches around her waist so we got the XL thinking 24 inches was the biggest it goes, but I think that is where the sizing starts so these ended up being really big on her... unfortunately it leaves a rather large gap and leaks a lot even with pads but I think it would have been okay if we were able to get the correct size, but, honestly, I'm not really fond of the black lining.. it makes it really difficult to see if there is menses on it until you find it is soaked through...I think I will go with a thicker more lightly colored liner for my next purchase.

Not thrilled...
These doggy diapers seem to be well sewn so that is a plus. The velcro holds and it seems like they were well put together. They are not absorbent AT ALL - there is a squishy inner layer of "something" but it doesn't absorb blood from her heat so I have to put something else inside them.Biggest complaint they are supposed to be size XXL - I have an 11 month old St Bernard. They fit her with AMPLE room in the waist but there isn't enough material to go AROUND her rump and back again. It's like she's wearing bikini briefs and they dig into her hips a bit. WILL not work past this first heat when she grows more - they need to be about 6 inches longer through the crotch to be usable for most giant breed dogs.

Great concept! Awesome girly colours! Not so great material
I found these washable panties to fit fairly good. However, the "crotch" space is fairly narrow so if you want to insert an absorbent pad in them, you must cut it in half for it to fit. The colours are amazing and quite "girly" which is cool. I also purchased the "Simple Solutions" panties and they fit much much better with lots more "crotch" room that accepts a full absorbent pad. Also these panties kind of make a "diaper" sound when our dog was walking around. The Simple Solutions panties are all cloth and were totally silent.Bottom line is I liked the colours of the these panties and they do work well on "light flow days" but they are noisy when worn and dog is walking around compared to other options.

Might not fit right on clipped/small tail bigger breeds
Not the greatest fit for a rottweiler with a clipped tail. Hopefully that will be less of a concern as the standards move away from tail amputation for the breed. My dog would go on her belly and scoot forward with her front paws to take it off. It did work better than some other dog diapers bit it's not perfect

XXL more like a L size.
I measured my German Shepherd. It was supposed to fit a 28 inch waist. Sorry but the XXL is more like a L size compared to other brands I have purchased. I will keep them as I have other dogs I can use them on. Also be aware there is no absorbancy section on these diapers. You must use a pad.

Great for my German short-haired pointer.
I have a tall GSP female. I had a hard time to find the right size and brand. I got XL and they fit very well, they are not tight. I use them when my female is in heat. I buy women liners and place them inside of the diaper. They are made from polyester. Maybe too hot for a furry dog, but works well for my pointer.
