Are the edges sharp enough to cut through a baked cake? I actually want to use it to cut through water melon to make it perfectly round

It is not form so I’m not sure you’ll be able to use it for that purpose. I haven’t used it for the watermelon. I suppose you could be able to do it if you hold the frame firmly.

No there is no base it’s just for desserts I use mine to make sure my cakes are level
