I am a guy who is almost always infatuated with Cuadra products, like boots and belts. I have several pairs of the boots and am usually always impressed with them. This is the only pair of Cuadra boots I am disappointed with. The color is gorgeous but is also it's biggest weakness as a product. The leather is painted on, but somewhat poorly or without regard to longevity. Within moments of unboxing the paint is scuffing off. Whereas most leather products can darken with time, which is normal and also a sign of a genuine product, this one lightens with wear as the paint comes off with use. Again, I love Cuadra. Generally speaking, they make some of the best boots in the world. This particular pair leaves me wanting. They ARE pretty boots. But they will look better in a box then on on your feet!
