Jam Nut 1/2x28,5/8x24 Steel Black 5 Pack (5/8x24)

I was very leery of purchasing these. The pictures showed rough machined surfaces and the threads looked rough. Also I read reviews on them not threading on barrel properly and not getting the quantity stated. As a machinist, I could have made my own but at this price it wasn’t worth my time and effort. When I received my order. There was the right quantity and I was amazed at the quality. Every surface was excellent. They threaded on my barrel with perfect tolerances. The finish was excellent. I really don’t believe I could have done it better myself. I compared them to the name brand ones that I already had and the quality of machine work was better than them. I would recommend to anyone. Why pay the same money for only one when you can get five.

First received the wrong thread pitch, contacted the company and they found a whole shipment of the wrong pitch misidentified. They immediately sent me the right pitch nut that worked perfect for my application. Great seller

I was concerned about the quality because of garbage that is out there, but it is solid. Fit my threads. Buy with confidence.

Used to secure a muzzle brake on a rifle instead of a crush nut.

Makes installing and timing a muzzle brake very easy ! Vs using a crush washer !!

They were useful but not what I ended up needing. Good part though.

It works, does the job. It would be better if it was a little thicker. But is is better than using those irritating crush washers. I had to remove the muzzle device on a firearm to replace the barrel nut and hand guard. I could get the crush washer off without destroying it. Since I did not have another crush washer or these jam nuts on hand I actually use a O ring instead for a while. And it worked very well and the look was very clean. I may just go back to using the O ring.

You may need a thin wrench to use this with your muzzle device.
