Perfect for doing BIAY
Such a beautiful Bible. I bought it to take notes while doing ‘the Bible in a year’ with Fr. Mike Schmitz. It’s perfect.

This is a STUNNING Bible
I admit I bought this from another seller as it was cheaper. I am into bible journaling and there is a distinct lack of journaling bibles out there catering for Catholics. Earlier this year I was bought the journaling bible by the Sunday Visitor and was disappointed. This bible by Ave Maria Press however is just beautiful.Good quality bible paper, standard 2 inch columns. good sized easy to read font, gold edging to the pages. and a sublime faux leather cover, this will make a beautiful heirloom to hand down through the generations. My advice is yes its more expensive than a lot of journaling bibles, but you wont regret purchasing this one. I love it x

Very poor quality, am returning it
Bible very poorly constructed. Doesn’t hold its ‘book shape’ properly and the hard cover feels like cheap cardboard. The printing at the beginning is definitely off and at £27 it’s ridiculously overpriced for its quality. I can only assume mine must be from a different source than the others I see in the comments here. I’m not particularly fussy or have unreasonable expectations but really this is terrible. I’ve given it 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. I will return it and buy the Catholic Bible Press note taking Bible instead.

Favorite Bible yet
Love the weight of it, the cover is heavy and substantial, pages are thick enough to where I’m not afraid the pages are going to rip as I flip through and my toddler comes around. I do appreciate the catechism references as well as the good amount of footnotes. White pages, clear black font and decent size so I’m not squinting. Truly a beautiful Bible and learning resource to get in the word.

Perfect version
This bible version is exactly what I wanted for my nephew’s upcoming graduation. The pages are sturdy enough for note taking, the text is clear and legible.Highly recommend!!

Very useful
I have always wanted a journal in Bible, and now I have one. It's nice not to write down notes and so on, but instead, it's nice to write on the regular Bible where there's no room to write. This is perfect. It's a very nice-looking Bible.

Very Basic but EXCELLENT for Note Taking
Revised Review: I’ve come to love the bubble more as I have used it It is certainly very basic but being able to highlight and take notes in it is very important to me. Since it’s not super fancy, I don’t mind messing it up a bit with these things. I wish it had a third ribbon, a more attractive cover, and pages that don’t curl, but for the most part the Bible has been very helpful to me in reading The Bible in a Year with Fr Mike Schmitts. I also use the BIAY companion booklet and Bible timeline chart.Original Review: I really wanted to love this bible. I wanted a bible that would last for the long haul since I’m writing notes it in.Pros: Easy to read and plenty of room to write.Cons: The cover is terrible. Not very attractive. After only a week, the cover is curling up really badly on the corners. It’s thick and heavy. No chapter introductions, summaries or helpful information other than catechism numbers. I miss the word of Christ being in red. No illustrations, maps, timelines, etc. about as “Plain Jane” as you can get.
