quality everyday flashlight.
These are great. They are very lightweight even with batteries and they throw a wide beam in a nice color range. No rings or way too blue color. This is not one you would want to bet your life on in the deep woods, but for keep in purse or backpack, or desk drawer they are perfect. Switch has a nice feel, has anti-roll "feet" to keep it from falling off the desk.

For the price, hard to beat.
Actually pretty bright and well made. I got blue and yellow. The quality of the LEDs is pretty good considering I paid $1.52 per flashlight. I compared it toe to toe with a Dorcy flashlight that you can get for $1 at Dollar general. Dorcy shines farther, but the Eveready is better as an area light, especially considering these flashlights have a more white light, and not so bluish.People who complain about the size of these flashlights, are really kind of lame. There was a time when I had to carry a D cell everready flashlight to get this kind of light. The only thing I don't like about them is the lanyard, it goes straight into the body of the flashlight. Usually I like to tape my flashlight off with electrical tape to make it slightly more waterproof. But with these, water can (will) get in through the lanyard hole. You might be able to use nail polish to waterproof it. Other than that, I think they're great. They shine at least 35 yards, I would say closer to 40 or 50 yards. I like AA flashlights because aaa's will not power anything for very long, and AA flashlights are still pretty small. This kind of light is perfect for a scout, or just a person who needs something for storms, considering these will run for about 30 hours at 25 lumens, not bad at all.Batteries are carbon zinc, don't complain at this price point. I put some good Duracells in there, and they made it shine a liitle brighter (probably 30 lumens). The picture of the beam is with the batteries that came with it. And it is slightly larger than the Dorcy flashlight, but still pretty slim and handy.

Good flashlight
These are handy little flash lights. The batteries come with the package, which is a good thing. You get 4 in the package, I put one in my car, one in my bedroom, one downstairs in the den, and I gave my daughter one for her car since she often travels at night. I think they are great to carry with you, and the light they give off is good for a flash light this small. They're small enough to fit in your purse or back pack.

Great set
This set is amazing! You get 4 compact flashlights, and they even come with batteries included such a bonus. They’re lightweight, easy to store, and perfect to keep around the house for emergencies. The light is surprisingly bright for the size, and you really can’t beat the price. Great value and peace of mind knowing I have them ready whenever needed!

Handy Flashlights
We have the larger size and when I saw these little ones I had to have them. We seem to misplace our bigger ones around the house sometimes and when a storm rolls through you want to have the at the ready. They shine as bright as the big ones do too. They come with a little loop string, can be hung by the door so I don't lose them also, that is a big plus.

SUBPAR FLASHLIGHT THAT COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER.
THESE REALLY ARE A BACKUP TO YOUR BACKUPS. HAVE GREAT NEW BATTERIES AND ALL THE LEDS BARELY THROW ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE 10 FEET IN FRONT OF YOU. WAS HOPING FOR A GREAT VALUE AND THESE ARE JUST FAIR. SO MANY THINGS ON THIS FLASHLIGHT COULD BE BETTER. THEY TAKE 2 DOUBLE AA BUT THEY HAVE BUILT ENOUGH PLASTIC IN THESE TO HANDLE 3X AS MUCH JUICE AND THE LED AS I MENTIONED BEFORE REALLY ARE SUBPAR. THESE ARE FUN TOY FLASHLIGHTS...THAT DO WORK AND THE STRAP IS A PLUS WHEN CAMPING SO WHEN YOU NEED TO DO YOUR BUSINESS YOU DON'T LOSE IT DOWN A CLIFF.

EverReady listened...
Just picked up the box of 8 flashlights to give away to friends and co-workers who need one. After reading all of the previous reviews, I'm happy to say that EverReady actually listened to the complaints people had.The lights came boxed, with dividers for each light. A separate box contained the batteries. There was no sticky tape stuff on the connections that other people reviewed that needed to be removed before the lights worked. Batteries fit in the housing just fine and every flashlight worked. They are not super bright nor very sturdy, but for less than 2 bucks a light, I'm very pleased with them.
