This kettle works very well and is reasonable priced. I opted for the 1.0 liter size which is perfect for me, as I usually don't require more than 2 cups of boiling water at a time. It boiled 2 cups in just about 3 min. but at full capacity it would hold just over 4 cups. It's much faster than using a pot on a stovetop and definitely more convenient (and faster) than boiling water in the microwave oven. For anything larger than 4 cups (ex., 6 cups needed to cook pasta), it's easy to empty and quickly boil another 2 cups to add to the pot. The top opens wide enough to fill in my refrigerator door dispenser and the handle doesn't heat up so it's very easy to dispense. I opted for the glass pitcher as I like to see the water inside. There are times for certain teas when I might want to stop it early so glass is much more convenient for me vs. stainless steel. The pitcher automatically turns off when done boiling and also there is a very visible blue light that stays on only while heating. Another safety feature is the auto-off when empty. Within seconds of turning the pitcher on with no water inside, it automatically shut off. For those not familiar with electric kettles, even immediately after heating water to boiling temperature, the base isn't hot (or even warm). So there's no danger when using the pitcher of you, or a child, accidentally getting burned by touching the base. So far this has been a great purchase for a great price!

This is one of my favorite items in my home. Quick and easy to use. This is my second time purchasing this kettle since my daughter accidentally broke the first one. Maybe one day I would do a video on my satisfaction but until then, I promise you can take my word for it. I use this in the morning for a quick cup of tea. I put the water in, brush my teeth, and the water is finished by the time my pearly whites are cleaned. For the price, this is a great product (no I am not getting paid to write this review), there were other kettles, but this one is the one I chose (twice). I can sit on my countertop without it burning my counter and the glass doesn't get to hot to the touch.

Our apartment complex recently demolished our kitchen countertops, dropped them, and installed fake granite . We lost quite a lot of space and functionality. As I'm the only one who drinks hot tea and french press coffee I decided to look for a smaller electric kettle to fit into a tight space. I landed on this one from Amazon basics.I love it. The water heats up fast and one kettle can fill a standard french press or small tea pot. I love the color, looking sharp and clean. The auto shut off let's you know the water is ready, and you can simply wait a few minutes for the water temp to be "off boil" for coffee.Sometimes simple works best and for the price point it's exceptional. I've knocked it into the faux countertop a few times and it's so durable nothing cracked or chipped.So if you make small quantities of hot water a day, this is definitely the kettle for you.

This kettle is awesome. It heats up very fast, and can make 2 tall mugs of tea in no time. After boiling water is used, I pour out the remnants, leave the lid open and let everything evaporate from residual heat. I like that the materials are metal and glass...and no plastic. The size is perfect for speedy boiling, so much faster than heating water in microwave or stovetop.

This Amazon Basics electric kettle is a solid choice for the price. It boils water quickly and the auto shut-off and boil-dry protection features work as expected. The glass carafe looks nice and feels sturdy, though the overall build is average—not super premium, but not flimsy either. It's perfect for daily use if you're looking for a budget-friendly, no-frills kettle. Good value for what you pay.

I got used to having a hot water kettle for making tea during my extended travel in Asia. I had to get an electric kettle like I had at the Asian hotels I stayed at. I got this one on Amazon because the design caught my eye. I like the glass with metal accents and the larger capacity (but still small enough to stay on countertop). It does heat up pretty fast for making tea, coffee, hot chocolate or what have you. I love watching the blue light come on and the bubbles forming quickly when the water comes to a rapid boil. No issues so far. Only minor complaint is the minimum fill is about 2.5 cups of water. I wish it was less for one person's use (as I'm the only person using it most of the time).

We’ve had this kettle for 2 years. It’s easy to clean, it holds a lot of water, and works great. The color is nice and fits with the rest my appliances. It has lasted and I have no regrets.
