Rod snapped
UPDATE:After maybe 6-7 uses the rod snapped in half. It broke from pulling on a snag. I wasn't pulling like crazy so it should have held. You'd be better off looking else where. I've looked at a few other reviews and smaller Okuma rods seem to have the same issue on occasion.PREVIOUS REVIEW:PROs: Nice flexible rod and smooth running reel. I was worried the size 20 reel would be too small since I really don't know much about reel sizes. It's the perfect size for small lakes & rivers. I wanted a rod about this size for kayaking and it's worked out well.CONs: Snapping the line shut after casting can sometimes require more force than normal, leading to a delay if you're wanting to start reeling once the lure hits the water. My only other complaint is the design of mounting the reel. If you look at the picture you'll see that the reel is tightened in by screwing one end in. This makes it so that once the reel is nice and snug there is inch or two where you're holding onto the thread instead of the grip. I prefer the kind that one end looses and then gets retightened.Basically for $25 you get a nice solid rod and reel. It's not perfect but for $25 you won't find a better deal than that.
