It best to break it up into 3 or 4 doses throughout the day rather than all at once which can be inconvenient. Carnosine turnover is low, slower than creatine which drops about 1% per day, so it can take months for it to drop even without supplementation. It something that build up in your body not something you need 30 minutes before a workout. The research on Beta alanine is very clear it super effective but only for very specific anaerobic activities. Think Sprinting rather than powerlifting or long-distance running. Activity that last more than 1 minute. It's unlikely to help you go from 5->6 reps or 8->9 reps, but you can sprint 20% longer, mostly likely good for sport where short burst are needed, and maybe marginally helps with longer cardio stuff.
