Multi purpose
We have a split household on these. Seems as though we're doing something to my husband's car every weekend so I thought, these would be great because he's forever wearing surgical gloves. While he found them to be a little too thick to get into a lot of the nooks & crannies of the engine, I did not. That being said, I should add he has abnormally huge hands that any wide receiver would be jealous of, whereas mine are much more petite, yet somehow, in my helper status, I end up scraping my knuckles or cutting my fingers. These gloves did keep me from any injuries.Where the multi purpose comes in....I am a gardener as well as doing almost all of our yard work (unless the job calls for the big chainsaw). I am also very very rough on things, including myself so, I go through a lot of gloves, very quickly. I have tried the cheap ones, the really expensive ones, every kind of animal hide they make, men's, women's & children's but can't seem to make any last on average more than 2-3 wks w/out at least a tear. So I decided to try these in the garden & yard, other than dirty, they look brand new 3 wks in & I had a lot to catch up on after a vacation right before I received these. So I will definitely continue to use when my help is required w/the car & daily while I tend my various plants, do my wood splitting, weed eating etc etcAlmost forgot to mention, they are raised & textured on the fingers (top) for protection but, animated to look like a real reptile....or I guess, t-rex. I think they're cute & comical looking but, if I'm cut, scrape & bruiseless, that protection really does work.

Nice gloves, small for the marked size
If you typically wear size large in gloves, get an XL in these. You might even need larger. They run quite small, especially in width. The quality is pretty good. I have used them to put together some rather sharp things, and I haven't been cut and I haven't damaged them. The impact resistance is decent. It's not the best of the best, but it's not terrible. You'll definitely feel it if you slip and punch something metal, but it won't be nearly as bad as doing it without them. They seem to be holding up quite well. They don't have any visible damage after using them for several weeks. I use them quite a bit, so that's good. They definitely should be still in once piece after a few weeks, but I've had some really bad impact gloves in the past that fell apart after one use. These are definitely better than that.Overall, I'd say these are close but not quite as good as something like Mechanix, as long as you manage to get ones that fit.

Get the job done
Selected these as an Amazon Vine item as the pair of Mechanix I'd used for yard work for several years had given up the ghost. Overall these are pretty solid. The color is bright, if not a little much, the molded rubber is thick and would provide decent impact protection. The palm material seems thick enough and the back has some breathability to it. The fit is ok, if not a little small, though I have a bit of a chunky palm and disproportionately small fingers in comparison so gloves often fit a little odd on me. The heft of the rubber makes them a little stiff for things like cutting the grass, but they may loosen in time. If you're sensitive to rubber/plastic smell you may want to air these out a little before wearing. The reason I gave four stars and not five is the velcro strap around the wrist is flimsy compared to other gloves and I'm leery of how they will hold up over the long haul.

Comfortable and they take an absolute beating
Gloves are a huge part of my working life and I run through them quickly. I am always looking for gloves that can stand up to abuse and I want to say right off the bat that if you are looking for gloves that can take some abuse these are an excellent choice.Typically I will start putting holes in my gloves within two weeks of working with them. The index and middle fingers and the palms are usually the first failure points as they take constant impacts and are routinely soaked and frozen. These gloves have so far lasted a month and the are no places where I can see them coming apart yet which is amazing.Another standout feature of these gloves is their design. The T-Rex look and yellow in green color scheme really makes them stand out and everyone that works with me loves them and keeps asking me where they can get some. The protective rubber parts that cover the backs of your hands and fingers look like dinosaur skin and it's awesome. As for comfort, these are very comfortable gloves, they fit well and they keep your hands warm even in freezers. They also dry out quickly when they get wet.The only negative that I have for these gloves is that they aren't designed to work with touch screens. I have gotten my phone to register touches from them intentionally, especially when after I got them broken in, but don't expect great performance working touch screens.Overall these are amazing gloves. I have this part to a coworker because he really killed it at work last week and I wanted to show him how I appreciated him and I'll be ordering myself a new set in a smaller size because I like my gloves to for really tight. I highly recommend these unless touch screen compatibility is a must for your application.
