This book is so small. Around 15 pages it has given the description of the poet Omar Khayyam. And then the poems. The poems are realistic, eye-opening, truthful. Several time I wonder the words, the insight, the wisdom. After Rumi, I read Khayyam the best of the best. Book is in condition. The packaging was good. Though the book looks little old, I sure this oldness represent the oldness of the wisdom of this books words.

Simple and direct, matter-of-fact, yet very elegant. They used to have a version with really good quality paper and beautiful color illustrations of some old Persian artwork which I really liked. This version doesn't have the drawings or the high quality paper, but the words are precious.

By far the best translation of a wonderful poem whose central message will never be itrrelevant as long as long as people exist.

Penguin brings the popular book in English translation at a much affordable cost and good translation.
